This is a new apartment which is situated in Alcaidesa overlooking Gibraltar, it has fantastic views across the Med towards the Atlas Mountains. It is the perfect location to enjoy all year round. Being so close to the Moroccan coast which you can see on a clear day benefits from the Sahara weather. This two bedroomed, two bathroomed apartment is now available for rent. It faces the Mediterranean and from the front terrace you have uninterrupted views stretching from the Spanish coast to the Rock of Gibraltar. Northern Africa can be easily seen on clear days. The evening views are quite simply stunning. The rear of the apartment including one of the bedrooms faces Gibraltar.
The entrance to Alcaidesa is via a 24hr manned security hut and barrier system. The complex has its own large swimming pool and a children’s paddling pool with toilets, first aid room, showering and changing facilities available. A life guard is on duty between 12–8pm in the summer. There is also a tennis court.
This modern spacious two bedroom apartment benefits from patio doors leading off the living room and master bedroom onto the terrace. Fitted wardrobes in both bedrooms. One bedroom has an en-suite bathroom.
The kitchen is equipped with the following: - four ring hob/oven, microwave grill, washing machine, fridge freezer, kettle,
toaster and coffee maker.
The living area has a sofa, table and rug. Cassette/radio/CD player. TV and DVD player. Sky British television i.e. bbc1 / 2 Itv 1 / 2 Cbebbies / Golf Channel etc.
All floors have Spanish styled terracotta tiles and all windows are fully double-glazed and fitted with shutters. All rooms benefit from climate control, heating and cooling units.
There is a dining table and four chairs.
Three sunlougers to relax on with cushions.
A large patio table and four chairs with sun umbrella is available outside for those who like to go ‘Al Fresco’!
Within Alcaidesa Square which is within walking distance there is a supermarket, bar/restaurant and pharmacy. Within 100 yards of this there are 2 other restaurants "La Hacienda" with views overlooking the beach and "5 Erres". Both offering exceptional good quality food. Close by why not also try the Golf Club House for a quick snack or full course dinner.
Alcaidesa boasts the only links course on the Costa Del Sol which was designed by Peter Alliss. A brand new secound course has now opened September 2007. There is also an excellent driving range. Discounts are available on green fees and buggy hire when staying at the apartment.
Alcaidesa has glorious beaches which stretch for over three miles. During the summer months there are several cafes/bars operating on the beach. It is the perfect location to enjoy all year round. Its environment is ideal to practice tourist, gastronomic and sport activities. Alcaidesa is surrounded by marinas Sotogrande, Duquesa and Banus, where you can practice water sports such as sailing and scuba-diving. An Aqua Parc is just 10/15 mins drive away. The towns of Cadiz, Malaga and Marbella are important tourist centers where you can enjoy such pastimes like riding, rafting, hiking and trekking along with many other activities.
GIBRALTAR - 10/15 minutes by car
From here you can go on the cable cars to visit the monkeys as well as the other historical attractions. The high street boasts plenty of tax free shops to buy all your duty free (the best buys are cigarettes and alcohol).
Why not eat at the new marinas which boast very elegant bars and restaurants.
There is also a Safeway supermarket open 7 days per week including a very cheap petrol station to fill up at and for those who miss it a Marks & Spencer on the high street.
LA LINEA - 5/10 minutes by car
A typical Spanish town bordering Gibraltar. On Wednesdays there is a street market and an indoor food market on Saturday mornings. The town centre has been pedestrianised and has a large variety of shops and cafes.
VALDERAMA - 5 minutes by car
This world famous golf course which hosts the European Open Tour every year and for those who wish to experience the ultimate golfing challenge.
SOTOGRANDE - 10 minutes
Up market area where Prince Charles plays polo. The harbour boasts multi-millionaire boats with relaxing restaurants and views. Also boasts 2 magnificent golf courses.
GUARDIARO - 10 minutes by car
24 DVD rentals. English Butchers. Elliotts Bar/nightclub for those who want a late night! Also why not try the "El Relingue" Argentinean restaurant.
DUQUESA - 15 minutes by car
A wide variety of international cuisines ranging from Mexican to Chinese. This port is an idyllic place for everybody to shop, eat and relax at.
ESTEPONA - 30 minutes by car
Boasts a brand new port approximately 10 minutes walk from the pedestrianised centre where you will find quaint back street bars, restaurants and shops. There is a fantastic beach and childrens play park all along the promenade.
