Whether you simply want to relax by the pool or explore the Costa del Sol, you’ll fall in love with Mijas. Offfering a glimpse into traditional Andalucian living, Mijas is located just a few kilometers away from the coast and the hustle and bustle of Fuengirola. if you really want to be adventurous, a day trip to Gibraltar or even Morocco is well within reach.

There are restaurants to suit every pocket, taste and occasion …….. traditional Andalucian or international.

Car hire is available at very competitive rates and can be collected at Malaga’s international airport. A car is not essential as there is plenty to explore in the Pueblo (village) and frequent buses to the coast. Or maybe you could treat yourselves and ride in one of the famous Mijas horse-drawn carriages …while children will find the Burro Taxi (donkey ride) through the Pueblo exciting.

For the more active ….. Fuengirola, at the foot of the mountain on the coast, offers watersports and beaches during the day and clubbing at night.

Golf is a major attraction on the Costa del Sol. Fantastic courses abound in this area – you’ll be spoilt for choice.

Flights to Malaga from many UK airports deliver you just 25 minutes from the Pueblo and taxis are reasonably priced if you choose not to hire a car.

Mijas is a region 20 minutes to the west of Malaga airport and comprises three main areas.
Mijas Costa is the coastal area with beautiful uncrowded villages.
Mijas Golf, as the name suggests, is a golf resort, which sits back a little from the coast.
But the jewel in the Mijas crown is where Casa Cava is situated in the beautiful traditional white painted Andalucian Mijas Pueblo (or village). Approximately six kilometres from the lively resort of Fuengirola, Mijas offers the most fantastic views over the Costa del Sol coastline out across the Mediterranean and as far as Africa on a clear day.
