Pueblo Salado is one of the best, if not the best, holiday complexes in the area. It is an attractive, well-situated, modern, private, low rise, gated complex located on the Mediterranean coast, on the edge of Puerto de Mazarron, a typically Spanish resort on the Costa Calida (Warm Coast).
The closest of the many clean, sandy beaches is literally across the road, and the complex has three swimming pools which are open all year round, one being covered during the winter.
Puerto de Mazarron has many bars, a variety of restaurants and shops, including a supermarket, within easy walking distance of the privately-owned apartment.
There are around 35 kms of golden, sandy beaches and the town, which has mountains on three sides and the Mediterranean on the fourth, has a reputation for a good all year round climate, with 300 plus sunny days and an average annual temperature of 18C.
Pueblo Salado is ideal for family holidays, older people or couples just wanting to relax in the sunshine.
For those wishing to be more active there are table tennis and petanque facilities on the secure, clean, nicely-landscaped and well-maintained site. There are many other activities nearby, ranging from simply walking to sailing, diving, golf, go-karting, bowling, deep sea fishing and other boat trips, horse riding and quad biking.
There are many historic and interesting buildings and sites in both Murcia and Cartegena and both cities also have excellent shopping centres, each including a Corte Ingles department store. There are a number of other areas of interest within easy driving distance, including the Sierra Espuna national park, the Mar Menor and La Manga.
Puerto de Mazarron is a relatively small resort which only gets really busy in July and August. Although it has recently been upgraded, with a new marina and promenade improvements, the port retains its essentially Spanish atmosphere.
It is within easy reach, mostly on motorways, of three airports: Murcia (San Javier), about 45 minutes; Alicante and Almeria, both about 90 minutes.
Airport transfers are available on request from 110 Euros return.
Friendly people who live nearby will meet you on arrival and are available to help with any problems during your holiday.
The English owner of the apartment also speaks a little Spanish.

Notes
The spacious apartment is on the ground floor and sleeps up to six people. There is a double bedroom, a twin bedded room and a double sofa bed in the large lounge/dining room. Both bedrooms have large built-in wardrobes. There are ceiling fans in the lounge and both bedrooms.
The apartment has satellite tv with the major freeview English channels as well as Spanish programmes.
The apartment is all electric and fully equipped with an oven/grill, four ring hob, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine and satellite tv.
There are wind-down security blinds and the bathroom includes a full-size bath with a shower and a new separate walk-in corner shower. There are duvets and fitted electric radiators for use, if needed, during the winter months.
No smoking in the bedrooms.
Please note there are no pool or sea views from the apartment.
