San Juan de los Terreros is a delightful coastal village on the border of Costa Calida and Costa Almeria, situated in the south east of Spain, and with more than 300 sunny days a year.
San Juan de los Terreros is situated at a natural bay. From the hill, with the 16th century castle, you have a marvellous view on the Mediterranean Sea, the village with the beautifull bay, and the Sierra Nevada. It has several small beaches where its safe to swim for the whole family.
San Juan de los Terreros kept its Spanish authenticity. The village has been spared from massive tourism and high-rise blocks, instead of the more northern Costa’s.
Still the village has plenty to offer for a sunny, relaxed Spanish holiday : supermarket, pizzeria, cafeteria, restaurants, (tapas)bar, small shops, ....
We recommend a hired car to visit the region, easy to rent via internet or at the airport.
There are many places with plenty of charm and old Spanish traditions.
The nearest town Aguilas is only 5 minutes away, with its beautiful bay and marina, its pretty Spanish centre square, with bars, cafeteria and shops.
Only 30 minutes drive south of San Juan de los Terreros, you reach the ancient village Mojacar, built on the hillside, all white houses and narrow streets.
Big cities like Lorca, Granada and Murcia and also three international airports (Almeria, Murcia and Alicante) are easily accessible by car.
