Casa Maraton sleeps 6 people in three spacious bedrooms (2 double beds and 1 twin bedded). The double bedrooms both have fitted wardrobes and the twin has a free standing wardrobe. The main bedroom has an ensuite shower room and there is a main bathroom with a separate shower unit and bath. There is a spacious kitchen/diner and separate lounge area which has a log burning stove for when the evenings become cooler. It has its own private pool (7m x 4m) with patio area for sunbeds with plenty of gravelled area between the house and the pool.

Standing in its own one acre plot the property is secure with gates and fencing and there is ample parking for 3 cars via a private concrete drive directly off the main road.

The villa is set in a beautiful valley located just 5 minutes walk away from the pretty village of Archez, 5 minutes drive to Canillas de Albaida and 10 minutes drive to Competa. There is a spectacular view to the village of Canillas de Albaida from the villa and it is an ideal base to explore the area, walk in the hills or just relax by the pool.


The ambiance of the local villages is relaxed and friendly. There are quaint narrow streets, lined with whitewashed houses. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, banks, shops and well-stocked supermarkets. There is a golf course, water park and horse riding to be found within a short drive a
and the area is renowned for it’s outstanding walks and cycling.

The Mediteranean costal resorts of Nerja, Torrox and Torre de Mar are only a short drive away and boast 16 kms of beaches. Both are lined with restaurants and bars.

My husband and I live in the UK. We have a daughter and a dog called Oscar. We have been going to this area of Spain for 20 years now as my parents retired there 20 years ago. My mother lives about 5 minutes away and looks after our home which we had built in 2005. We love spending time here and visit as often as we can.
