Description: |
The Apartment: Second floor apartment with open-plan lounge, diner and large kitchen area, providing ideal accomodation for couples, friends, families and golfers. Lifts & walkways provide easy access for wheelchairs & prams. It overlooks the main communal pool and landscaped gardens, allowing easy supervision of children from the spacious balcony. The large balcony has a dining table, chairs & sunloungers, for outside eating and aperitifs in the sun & in the warm evenings. Each bedroom has a stylish, en-suite bathroom. Both bathrooms have good powerful showers and one also has a bath and bidet. There is a utility room with washing machine and storage space for all beach and sports equipment. Guests are welcome to use the tennis raquets (4), sunloungers, parasols, snorkels, and any other beach equipment. 2 bikes are also available.
Walking Distance: The apartment, with private parking space, is in La Calma, a peaceful, landscaped, gated development, featured on GMTV. Close to the sea and all local amenities. 5 minutes walk to a great spanish supermarket, rooftop bars overlooking the sea, a bank, and many small local shops. 10 min. to nearest tennis courts. Dozens of restaurants of all nationalities are within comfortable walking distance. 10 minutes walk takes you to the nearest Playa Flamenca beach, one of a series of beaches along a beautiful walk to Cabo Roig marina. Some beaches are quiet and almost empty with good snorkelling spots, others have beach bars, jet skis, and evening entertainment. Large Saturday market.
A Short Drive or Bus Ride: 5 min. to tennis courts with coaching & social tennis available. 10 min. to the fishing port of Torrevieja - shopping, restaurants, large evening market, marina, boat trips, promenade, boardwalk. 10 min. to golf courses - Villamartin, La Finca, Las Ramblas & Royal Campoamor. Tee times can be booked before departure, on internet or phone. For nature lovers, 15 min. to protected national parkland around the salt lakes, 30 min to coastal nature reserve by Mar Menor, 30 min. to Orihuela - shops, museum, open-air concert theatre.
Further Afield: Take half or full day trips to any of the local historic cities of Elche, Murcia, Alicante and Cartagena. Less than one hour to visit the famous Mar Menor and La Manga. Go to Almeria - 2 hours down the motorway. Take overnight trips to Granada, Seville or Valencia.

Playa Flamenca is a 45 min. drive from Alicante airport, 30 min. from Murcia (San Javier). We can advise you on booking flights, car hire at airports, and will provide directions to the apartment. We can organise airport transfers for you, payable locally.
There is an information folder in the apartment. Our local property manager will be available to provide any assistance you need during your holiday.
