THE AREA.
The ancient town of Altea is the cultural capital of the region of Valencia often refered to as the "pearl of the mediterranean" and is a designated marine resort. It has long been famous for attracting many types of artists apparent in some of the finest galleries, shops and boutiques on this coast reflecting its upmarket status. Here in the old quarter you will find some excellent bars and restaurants offering very good value for money in a relaxing and charming atmosphere. Altea is a living, working town, not over reliant on tourism and unlike many coastal areas of Spain it remains open all year round.
THE APARTMENT
This apartment is an ideal base to for you to discover the Northern Costa Blanca and the region of Valencia. It is an easy drive from either Alicante airport (60km or 45 minutes) or Valencia airport (120km or 1hour 20mins).
Located in a private gated development this very spacious and luxurious, ground floor apartment has two bedrooms, two bathrooms (1 en suite) and is surrounded by beautiful landscaped gardens of approximately 4000m2 (1 acre) containing a fantastic swimming pool. A heated indoor pool and fitness centre is available from October to May. There are fabulous unspoilt views from almost every part of the property and grounds. The apartment equipped to a very high standard and there is a communal WiFi Internet facility.
This is a ground floor apartment which has two terraces. One on the north facing side and another on the south side. The south terrace leads to small private garden which in turn leads into the main communal gardens.
The sunny south terrace also provides good shade from the sun while still allowing you to sit outside and enjoy the spectacular scenery. The north terrace is cooler and has stunning views of the Sierra de Bernia mountains or the Altea Hills as they are widely known.
SECURITY
Being a private gated area there is no through traffic. The complex is situated behind electric gates and the only traffic within is limited to the coming and goings of the owners and occupants.
LOCAL AMENITIES
The village of Altea la Vella is only 2.5 Km away and has all essential amenities including a Bank with ATM, an international newsagent, shops, and some fine restaurants. The nearby Don Cayo Golf Course is a very good 9 hole golf course which has the longest Par 5 in Europe .
INTERESTS
For the culture vultures, this area is steeped in history and there are many ancient monuments and places of historical interest to visit
For those who like walking there are many trails and paths through the mountain areas for you to enjoy.
You will find leaflets and information about all of these places and more at the apartment.
A 30 minute drive will get you to the Terra Mitica water theme park which is open during the summer months offering entertainment for all the family.
The apartment has everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday in luxurious surroundings.

Thank you for opening your home to us for our rental. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wanted to thank you. It has been exactly what we needed at this point in our year-long travels. Our girls had a great time in the swimming pool and at the beach; we enjoyed exploring the area at a more leisurely pace compared to what we were doing before we arrived.
