Our apartment is situated in a popular area called, Calahonda, on the warm Costa del Sol. It is within a few minutes walk of all the restaurants, bars, shops and only a short distance from the excellent beach at Cabopino.
It really is the ideal and yet peaceful base for a family holiday, all year round.
Situated midway between Fuengirola and Marbella, The apartment is ideally located to explore all of the Costa del Sol with its many wonderfull beaches and of course its historic white washed villages. There really is so much to do.
The apartment has three floors, the first has a fully fitted kitchen, including oven, hob, microwave and fridge freezer etc. There is also a washing machine and ironing facilities in fact everything you could need. There is also a small bathroom on this floor.
The living/dining room is extremely comfortable, there is SKY Digital T.V. for those who want all the comforts of home! Leading off this room there is a balcony overlooking the pool/garden area, ideal for breakfast in the sun.
The second floor has two large bedrooms both with two single beds and fitted wardrobes. These bedrooms share a bathroom, which is equipped with bath, shower, washbasin & bidet.
Both these rooms have patio doors which lead to balconies with typically Spanish views.
The third floor is a double bedroom, again with fitted wardrobes. It has an en-suite bathroom with a double shower, washbasin etc.
The highlight of this floor and the apartment is found through the patio doors which lead you out onto a spacious and very private rooftop terrace. Here there are sunbeds, table and chairs, a BBQ and last but not least stunning views of the Med and the mountains behind. evening meals have never been so civilised.
Calahonda!
Amazing micro-climate
The best Place on the Costa del Sol!
Positioned between sun scorched beaches and the desolate Sierra Blanca mountain range, Calahonda has an unusually pleasant micro-climate.
While the rest of Europe battles wind, rain and snow, Calahonda enjoys an average twenty-six days of sunshine each January. Rainfall is scarce and temperatures mild. In fact, the mercury nudges into the early teens throughout the winter months.
No matter if the neighbouring British enclave of Gibraltar is blanketed in drizzle or the waves are pounding Malaga to the West, meteorological records show that the sun shines on Calahonda for around 320 days a year.
Protected from the worst of biting winter winds by the towering Sierras in winter and cooled by sea breezes in the summer, the average annual temperature is an enjoyable 19º C.
Unsurprisingly for a town perched so close to the African coastline, July and August are searingly hot. Although temperatures inland often top 40º C, summer in Calahonda hovers around the more bearable 30º C.
With less than fifty days of rain per year, droughts often threaten in the summer months. The typical rainy season lasts just four months, stretching from November to February. But even when umbrellas and raincoats are the order of the day, the thermometer rarely dips below a mild 13º C from December to March.
Every effort is made to make your stay comfortable..Thank you for looking.
