Casa Amber is a homely spacious country house built in Andalucian style, with wooden shutters and beams throughout. Located in a tranquil setting with stunning views across almond groves and neighbouring farmland to the mountains and hilltop white village of Comares. Several tracks run near to the house which are excellent for walking and exploring the countryside and where you are more than likely to meet a herd of goats. As well as a cosy lounge with open fire, there is a further casual lounge with patio doors leading to the private pool and sun and shaded terrace areas from where you can enjoy the views while preparing outside dining at the brick barbecue. The large farmhouse kitchen with stable door and a wood burning stove, leads to a dining room with lovely views. Upstairs there are 3 large bedrooms, a double, twin and the master bedroom with kingsize bed, ensuite bathroom and patio doors leading to a small terrace where you can watch the sun rise over Comares. There are 2 further bathrooms each with bath and shower. Casa Amber is located on a short track, 10 minutes outside the pueblo of Colmenar, close to Montes de Malaga national park and only 40 minutes from the airport. Colmenar and neighbouring villages have banks, small supermarkets, tapas bars and restaurants. Lake Vinuela with its popular lakeside restaurants is a short drive away and Antequera, Granada and the coastal resorts are easy day trips. At Velez Malaga there is a shopping centre, bowling and waterslides for a family day out.
