Description: |
The Farmhouse, Finca el Almendrillo is located in the heart of Andalucia between Granada, Malaga and Sevilla, within easy reach of the airports, natural hotsprings, golf, waterparks, national parks and horseriding. With 7 bedrooms and 3 living rooms The Farmhouse accommodates groups of 14 in exceptional comfort.
The 100 year-old farm was built in the historic Andalucian Cortijo style with Farmhouse, barn and stables arranged around a cobbled courtyard.
The Farmhouse stands at the centre of the 5000 square metre Finca. Commanding astounding views over the valley to the south and of the Sierra Nevada to the east, Finca el Almendrillo is exceptional.
Accommodation at Finca El Almendrillo comprises of The Farmhouse with 7 bedrooms and the separate 2 bedroom Casita.
The Farmhouse features four downstairs double bedrooms each with en-suite shower/WC, one downstairs double bedroom with nearby shower/WC, two upstairs bedrooms sharing shower/WC, kitchen / dining room (7 x 5.5 metres) and upstairs palatial Gran Sala living room (11 x 7 metres) with balcony giving views to the south over wooded and farmed hills (approx 15 km). The Farmhouse is bordered by a cobbled, walled courtyard on one side and private oak garden on the other.
At the time of renting The Farmhouse The Casita may be in use by the owners, empty, or in use by other holidaymakers. Please let us know the dates you are interested in and we will provide details.
Guests at the Finca can enjoy the exceptional 17 metre by 7 metre swimming pool and uninterrupted views. The Finca stands in a valley of its own affording guests unique privacy while only a 5 minute drive from the nearest village with Bar-Restaurant and shop.
Between the Andalucian white towns of Tapia and Loja, the medieval Camino de las Cabreras winds through the endless olive groves in the Valley of the Goatherds. High above, visitors to Finca el Almendrillo wake to the distant sound of bells as, to this day, the herds stroll out to pasture.
Facilities at the Finca include games room with table football, pool table and table tennis, a third kitchen located in an independent space off the courtyard, in this kitchen you will find a catering cooker and large Bar-B-Que. This kitchen is used by the caterers (if requested) ensuring that you enjoy a fully prepared meal at the Finca without your living space being used. You will also find at the Finca mountain bikes to fit most sizes and garden and pool furniture. The Finca is perfect for bikers, hikers and walkers and those just wishing to relax.
The pool is located at the extremity of the property and is fenced off thereby ensuring added safety for those with small children. Providing shade by the pool throughout the day is a wooden pergola some 8 metres in length and covering the width of the terrace.
The Finca is within 15-20 minutes of horseriding, beaches, beach bar and tennis. Also within 15-20 minutes are a number of great restaurants ranging from Italian and Spanish to haute cuisine at the 5 star Bobadilla hotel.
The Finca is perfect for children, who can spend many hours splashing about in the pool or playing by the pool in the shade offered by the pergola, playing table football, table tennis or pool, mountain biking, climbing trees, rambling through fileds or taking a stroll down the lane to visit the goat farm, sheep, peacocks and chickens. The local stables offer horseriding for children as young as 2.
