This beautiful luxurious villa is situated on a quiet cul–de-sac on the hillside of the prestigious Monte de los Almendros urbanisation in Salobrena, looking towards the Mediterranean. South facing and set against palm and fruit trees (lemon, grapefruit, guava, orange, almonds, apricot, figs, apricot etc), this villa offers stunning views of the Mediterranean from every room and from the multi-level large terraces surrounding the Villa. The villa is not overlooked and is large enough to accommodate 2 families wishing to holiday together as it has 4 large bedrooms and a separate kitchen on each floor. This is one of the few villas which has four en-suite luxury bathrooms. Internet access is provided as is a laptop is the perfect place for a holiday in one of the best locations in Spain So hurry ...

Outside
Multi-level terraces with a barbecue area and a private heated pool. Residents can also use the community facilities on the Monte which include two swimming pools and a tennis and football court. The villa does not overlook and is not overlooked by other villas. Sunny and shaded terraces. Patio set of table and chairs, sunloungers and sun chairs. Secure parking in two garages and additional parking for four cars. The swimming pool has an oil-fired heating system with an energy efficient heat pump and thermal cover.
This Villa is perfect for all outdoor activities, especially swimming, walking, horse riding, mountain biking and skiing (in season). The large community swimming pool, childrens pool, playground, tennis court and football pitch are a short walking distance away and free of charge to our guests. There is a large aqua park a few minutes drive away in Almunecar.

Salobrena, is located in the heart of the Costa Tropical, and is one of the prettiest towns in southern Spain with its winding narrow streets and magnificent Moorish castle perched high on the hill. The climate is sub-tropical with a temperature of 18 degrees Celsius in winter & 25 degrees in summer.

Outdoor activities include, walking, climbing, water sports, golf, horse riding, hang gliding and even skiing in the Sierra Nevada. Granada, the Moorish capital with the breathtaking Alhambra Palace and relaxing thermal spas are only 45 minutes away, Malaga 1 hr, Nerja 30 minutes, Almunecar waterpark 15 minutes.

honeymoon option!

We had our 2 week honeymoon at Villa Tranquilla. There was lots of privacy, which was great, though the gardeners suddenly showed up on the walk-on balcony... If you go and want privacy, please check with the owner when the gardeners, pool cleaner and oil provider (for pool heating) are due to come by. Service by owner Mr. Sharma was excellent. He even provided me with a camera and head-set for the on-site computer (which was old though, but worked), so I could skype with my children. Extremely kind. Service by caretaker Graham Grubb was quick and very good. He's a nice, easy going man and you can call him for anything and he'll see to it that it happens. Very good and made you feel taken care of. We once ran out of oil for pool heating and due to a national holiday the delivery was delayed which meant a cold pool for a day and a half, but that was quickly solved once the oil was provided and Graham came by to reset the heating system for us, which we didn't manage to. Salobrena itself is a lovely small village to briefly visit, but beach is grey gravel, not sandy so beware of that. Nearby Nerja (half hrs drive) is a lovely town, incl. grotto's to visit and has beautiful sandy beaches. Nicest beach restaurants were at (small and hard to find) Playa de Cabria, right before Almunecar. Only 2 restaurants there, but beautiful views very close to the sea. Very romantic! We went para-gliding, or better 'trike'-gliding from Motril which was an absolutely great experience. Please check Antonio Castro's website (he speaks English very well and has been para-gliding for 25 years): www.parapentetropical.com. In short: an excellent place to stay and very good services both by the owner and the caretaker. Enjoy!

Fantastic Villa with all Amenities

The villa and the area was even better than we expected. There were a lot of things to do in the area if you like nature, history, good food and shopping. The owner did a great job of preparing a information package that includes everything you need to know about the villa and things to do in the area. Thanks to the information package we had a great day in the mountains having a picnic and hiking near waterfalls, streams, wildlife, orchards etc. I highly recommend this villa and Salobrena to anyone who is considering a visit to Southern Spain.

Villa Tranquilla

This property is perfect, and satisfies all our requirements. We have been here three times, and we plan to return next year. The only thing that could be improved is the visibility of the clarification about what is included in the rent and what is not. This is partly described on the owner's home page, but could also be described on the main property description page. As I understand from the owner's home page, electricity and water (hot and cold) are included. However, nothing is mentioned about gas for central heating and fire wood.
