New south facing 2 bed 1st floor apartment, Sleeps 4, Not overlooked, Large solarium for private use, Large private garden to the side of the property, Parking outside the property, Communal pool shared with only 23 other properties.
The apartment is a 10 minute drive from Murcia (San Javier) airport and 50 minute drive south from Alicante, Taxis and car hire are available from both airports. Although car hire is recommended, it is by no means essential.
The town of San Pedro del Pinatar and its neighbouring coastal resort of Lo Pagan are situated on the northern tip of the Mar Menor a natural salt water lagoon with several blue flag beaches, safe bathing and warm water which is, on average, 2 degrees warmer than the Med. The nearest beach is Playa Villananitos which is a 25 minute walk from the apartment. At the beach are the famous mudbaths, rich in therapeutic minerals. The fine sandy beaches look across the Mar Menor to the famous La Manga strip which has the renowned La Manga Golf Resort a 20 minute drive away. Within a short walk is the national park "Las Salinas de San Pedro del Pinatar" which plays host to several species of birds including migrating flamingos. A newly built road/cycle track takes you through the national park and salt flats to the marina and the Mediterranean Sea.
There are many walks through the nature reserve, and the general area. Being very flat it is accessible to all and also very popular with cyclists who have the luxury of many dedicated cycle lanes. Golfers are spoilt for choice in this locality with 3 courses, Villamartin, Campoamor and Las Ramblas, only a 15 minute drive away. There are also facilities for sailing, boat trips, fishing, windsurfing and horse riding within a short drive. Please note some of the water sports are only available in the summer months. There is a large shopping mall, Dos Mares, less than 10 minutes drive away, which boasts a good selection of shops, fast food restaurants, a hypermarket(Eroski) cinemas and ten pin bowling.
Lo Pagan offers several bars, cafes and restaurants along its lengthy promenade shaded by palm trees. It is an enjoyable evening walk and there is a fairground and plenty of nightlife in the summer. San Pedro is a small Spanish town with tapas bars, restaurants, banks, shops and supermarkets. The local market on a Monday is a hub of activity and sells almost everything including locally grown produce. The market is in the centre of town which is a 10 minute walk from the apartment, also the bus station is a 10 minute walk away. A 2 minute drive north on the N-332 will take you into the Alicante region which is on the Costa Blanca. The resorts of Pilar de la Horadada, Cabo Roig, Playa Flamenca and Torrevieja are all within a short drive and you will find many fine beaches with excellent facilities, harbours, bars, restaurants and shops.
Pamper yourself at the recently opened Thalasia Health Spa situated on the complex which is within walking distance from the apartment.

Special notes
A booking/damage/security deposit of £100 is required to confirm booking. The full rental cost is payable 4 weeks before arrival. The booking/damage/security deposit will be returned within 7 days of departure following a check by keyholder.If the rental is cancelled up to 6 weeks before arrival date, then 1/2 of the booking deposit will be returned. If cancelled less than 6 weeks before arrival date then no refund will be given. The price includes end of stay clean. There is cleaning equipment provided for use during your stay. There is no smoking allowed in the apartment, although guests are welcome to smoke on the teraces etc. Please respect this condition. If established that clients ignore this rule and smoke within the house, then the deposit will be forfeited.
Please note - Holiday makers are responsible for arranging their own travel insurance whilst staying at the property.
