Comfortable country house, Ideal for large families and friends to get together for a holiday break. Spacious and comfortable. All rooms have C/H and fly screens on the windows. There are some ceiling or standing ventilation fans. Well equipped and with plenty of linen. 10.000m2 of land to roam. The house is stone built which keeps it cool inside during the summer months and once warm in the winter, it maintains the heat inside.

Enter the house through the large covered porch: relaxing shaded area.
Reception hall: high ceiling and spacious.
Dining/sitting room: wood burning fire, Sofas, TV equipment and a large dining table seats 10.
Kitchen: fully equipped including microwave oven and dishwasher.
Center Hall: original open fireplace and beamed ceilings.

Bedroom 1: Large family room, sleeps four comfortably.
Bathroom 1: Full bathroom including a hydromasaje shower.
Bedroom 2 and Bathroom 2: Very spacious with double bed and en-suite bathroom.
Bathroom 3: Separate cloakroom/w.c, located next to a fully equipped laundry.
Bedroom 3: Double bedroom with pool and mountain views.
Bedroom 4: Two single beds, with pool and mountain views. Gallery with mountain views.
Fully equipped Summer Kitchen: forms a part of the pool area. Large 12X6 pool with plenty of terraced.
Bathroom 4: Shower room located outside and close to the pool.
(The fully equipped Laundry could mean less luggage to carry, and less travel expense!) One room is closed for storage.

The summer kitchen is particularly useful during the Spring, Summer and Autumn months. It is equipped including a wood burning B.B.Q. Fridge, Hob, and sink. There is an Island for food preparation. The kitchen forms a part of the pool area with a large 12X6 pool and plenty of terrace and shaded areas. This is an ideal place for all the family to be together. Preparing meals while keeping a watch over the children in the pool. Covered porch, a good place to sit out of the sun and relax.

There is a pleasant pine tree shaded area, with hammocks and stone table with benches, ideal place to relax on those hot summer afternoons.

Los Viñedos de la Solana is estimated to have been first built some 250 years old. Over the years parts of the house have been added and today it still has it's original form. Once a winery surrounded by almond, grape and olive orchards it was a popular port of call by the villagers and merchants.

Located on the south facing hill side of La Solana close to the idyllic village of Hondon de las Nieves. The cities of Elche and Alicante are just 20 minutes and 30 minutes drive respectively. The Mediterranean coast including Alicante, Los Arenales and Santa Pola can be reached within a 30 to 40 minute drive. Today the house offers peace and tranquility away from a faster pace of living. So If your regular lifestyle is stressful, then Los Viñedos de la Solana is a great place to relax and recuperate.

Most of our guests have enjoyed the house, outside areas and the local village, and not ventured too far, but if you fancy a day on the beach, it is not out of the question.

It takes about 45 minutes to drive and park near the sandy beaches at Santa Pola where you can spend a full day enjoying the benefits of the Mediterranean sea, and sampling some fine seafood restaurants.

Notes
The Village of Hondon de Las Nieves

Just a few minute's drive is the village of Hondon de las Nieves. It is not a large village, but it caters for most people needs during their stay. Supermarkets, bakers, butchers, fruit and vegetable shops, street and covered markets offering fresh vegetables, fish, bread, olives etc.

The village offers a variety of reasonably priced restaurants serving typical local dishes and inexpensive 'menu of the day' menus. There an Italian pizzeria with eat in or take away facilities.

You will also find a doctor surgery, chemist, police station, petrol station, hardware store and three 'bodegas', wineries where you can purchase local and regional wines. One of the bodegas is also a small museum and has restaurant facilities. The nearby sports center has a large pool, some sports facilities, and a very pleasant restaurant that specializes in sea food, Great rice dishes including paella.

The journey to the house from Alicante airport takes approximately 30 minutes and is an easy drive (written directions and map available) . The city of Elche is a 20 minute drive. An interesting city with a Moorish history and a beautiful central park and palm gardens. Santa Pola is just 12 kilometers from Elche heading East, where there are many sandy beaches and the fish and seafood restaurants are noted for the quality of food. Santa Pola has a harbor, fishing boats go out daily.

The owners of this property live in Spain, close to Alicante. The property is maintained regularly and the cleaning before and after a rental period is overseen by the owners. All linen and towels are provided. Smoking is not permitted withing the house. Sorry, but No pets are allowed. There are NO extra charges for cleaning or laundry.

Security bond. The property will be inspected on your arrival with you the owner or a representative of the owner, this usually takes five minutes. The bond is requested at this time if it has not already been paid. Before you leave the property at the end of your stay, the property will be jointly inspected once again and the bond will be returned to you before you leave Spain.

The owners thank all past guests for having taken so much care of the property during their stay, so far, all guests have received a full bond refund before leaving the property.

On your arrival you will be met by the owner of their representative. After your journey you probably just want to relax by the pool. With this in mind the owners do not want to take any of your holiday time. However, it is beneficial to show you around the house and the grounds, this only takes a few minutes. Once this is complete you will be left to enjoy the house and your holiday. The owners live close by and they are available if needed. New service for 2012...internet access. Also remember,.......There is a fully equipped Laundry including, washing machine, Dryer, Iron and Ironing luggage to carry with you means possible travel savings.
