Description: |
Fabulous new first floor apartment set in beautiful gardens. The balcony, for al fresco dining, overlooks the gardens. Residence La Fosca Beach is about 250 metres from the renowned beach of the same name and just a few minutes from the centre of the charming fishing town of Palamos. The apartments were completed in 2006 to a high standard of finish.
The kitchen is fully fitted with ceramic hob, oven, microwave cooker, grill, washing machine and fridge. The bathroom has both shower and bathtub. The living room is bright and airy with large doors opening onto the balcony. One bedroom is double and the other has two individual beds. The apartment has the first space in the private garage under the building.
Palamos is just 30 kilometres (30 mins by car) from Girona airport and we are flexible on changeover day so you can get the best Ryanair flight. Barcelona is about 110 kilometres and Dalis hometown of Figueres is about 35 kilometres. There are in total about 5 kilometres of wide beaches and small private coves but the jewel in the crown is La Fosca. It is formed by two small bays which join together to form a unique bay that has sun from sun-up to sun-down and the water is shallow for about 100 metres making it great fun for games and safe for non swimmers.
We also have an apartment directly in front of the pool. It costs about 10% more.
What about the weather?
Most people come in August but the sunniest month is July. Both June and September are normally very sunny but not so hot. May and October are really nice if you like it quieter. February is Carnival time although the weather is a bit colder. Easter always sees the first of the beach lovers. Off-season is the best time if you want a walking holiday. We have some beautiful coastal pathways and others that take you to the Gavarres Hills where you have stunning views of the coast. All paths are well marked and mapped by the tourist authorities. And for the cooler winter evenings the apartment has central heating.
