THIS OLD SPANISH HAMLET HAS BEEN RESTORED AND CONVERTED FOR COMFORTABLE LIVING. IT NOW CONSISTS OF TWO PROPERTIES SURROUNDED BY WONDERFUL GARDENS.
THE MAIN HOUSE CASA ALGARROBO AND ADJOINING COTTAGE WITH THE USE OF A TREMENDOUS POOL, BARBECUES AND TERRACES IS FOR RENT.
Relax on a sunbed by the beautiful tiled pool; sit in the sun or the shade of the ancient carob trees. Enjoy the scents and colours of the gardens or choose a leisurely swim All the windows of the house have stunning views.
Located near the picturesque villages of Benamargosa and Viņuela. Malaga airport 50km
One has the advantage of peace and seclusion although tapas bars, restaurants and village shops are within 10 minutes drive. The resident owners will respect your privacy but are on hand if you wish help or advice.
THE HOUSE
La Calera consists of 4 double bedrooms, 1 twin room, 4 bathrooms (showers rather than baths in this water conscious area) Plenty of space to spend time together or relax alone.In addition to the main beds there is a futon and a childs camp bed. 2 well equipped kitchens and 1 kitchenette. Plenty of cupboards well stocked with all you may need for cooking.
Dining/ living areas, roof and ground floor terraces.
One of the double bedrooms, a bathroom, living and kitchen are on the ground floor in the cottage, although it has steps from the parking area.
We offer the option of renting the entire property or the cottage or house only at a reduced price.
SWIMMING POOL
A spacious terrace of handmade tiles surrounds the huge lagoon shaped pool. 15m x 5m with underwater lighting and built in steps. The pool has a separate baby pool and a shower outside and a w.c. situated in the pool room. Poolside loungers, tables, chairs, cushions are provided in both sunny and shaded areas, one of which has an amazing cave floodlit at night.

General: The house is cleaned to a high standard before each arrival. There is no maid service during your stay. Fresh linen and towels are provide weekly. (except beach towels which can be hired) The main house has central heating; the cottage has an open fireplace. Welcome packs are provided.
There is an automatic washing machine, iron and ironing board for guests use situated in the pool house. All windows have mosquito netting. Fans/heaters,coolboxes, drying racks. Games,books and local info.
GOLF
The 18 hole Baviera Golf course, competitively priced in the area,is only 30 minutes away.
FOOD/LEISURE
We provide a list of the many good local restaurants with Spanish, English and Indian food. Bars with live music. Lake Viņuela and the National Park are closeby. Quad bike rides. Bird watching and photography. Local fiestas- the taste of real Spain.
LOCATION/HISTORY
Peaceful and secluded, but at no distance from the Moorish villages of Comares, Cutar, picturesque Alcaucin and Viņuela, or the town of Velez Malaga with a wonderful old quarter, steeped in history.If you want a change of pace go to the beach or on a seagoing trip with tapas and wine and hopefully a swim with dolphins.
