Description: |
La Casa de Piedra is an interestingly designed, well-equipped villa with superb, panoramic views (down to the sea on a clear day). It has a roof terrace, a large pool, landscaped gardens and olive trees below within its extensive grounds. If you want a restful, ‘get away from it all’ place, with plenty of opportunities to enjoy scenic roads, visit interesting places and get down to the beaches of Costa del Sol, this is it! It is located in the small community of El Curato, along a short track just off the old Malaga-Antequera road, but is very private and enjoys uninterrupted views across the hills. It was furnished and equipped in 2007 to a style fitting in with the overall feel of the villa. There is air conditioning in much of the house, which also provides heating when it is cold.

Outside Landscaped garden with rocks and terraces. Tiled pool area, with shower. Long, curved pool good for swimming. Shallow end, suitable for supervised children and adults who just want to laze and cool-off. Sunbeds, Table, parasol and chairs. Barbecue. Sun terrace on roof of house. Overall, there are about 6000 m2 of grounds, which provides privacy and seclusion and which includes a ‘rougher’ area below the house with olive trees, giving plenty of places for older children to explore.
Further details The whitewashed village of Almogia (“the pretty one” according to the Moors, on account of its location) is a whitewashed hill-side village, with steep, narrow streets, several small corner shops, several restaurants and typical Spanish bars. The hamlet of Pastelero, about 4km in the other direction also has a good bar/restaurant and another bar. There are more small shops, restaurants and bars in the village of Vilanueva de la Concepcion. Larger Supermarkets, more up-market shops restaurants, entertainment and places of interest can be found in the city of Malaga and the historic town of Antequera. The El Chorro gorge with its three turquoise lakes, the El Torcal Nature Reserve, the Lobo (Wolf) Park and Fuente do Piedra lagoon, famous for its flamingos are all within 30-60 minutes drive. You can also use the villa to venture further to visit places such as Granada, Ronda and Cordoba.

Special notes 10% discount for second week A 25% deposit is required on confirmation of a booking. The balance is payable 6 weeks before departure. A returnable €200 breakage deposit will be collected on arrival Linen and towels are changed weekly. House fully cleaned at change-over. Further cleaning can be arranged at additional cost. To avoid excessive use of the air-conditioning we charge for electricity at 0.15euro/KWh. As a rough guide, normal use should come out at around 20 euro/week. |
