A car is necessary, as there is no bus in the area. You will discover some lovely mountain villages within 20/30 minutes drive and the local coastline is well worth exploring.

Benidorm is 20 minutes away where there are theme parks to suit all interests, Aqualandia, Terra Mitica and Terra Natura.

There are 2 restaurants within walking distance and a cafe bar where the tapas is excellent.
Super Value supermarket is 1 km. near enough to walk for your daily fresh bread and good quality locally grown fruit and veg.

Altea town center is 3km. there you can explore the old town area, where you will find narrow streets with whitewashed houses, a taste of real Spain. The church square is the place to sit and enjoy a coffee. The panorama from Calpe to Albir can be seen from the viewpoint just off the square. Below at Altea seafront there is a great selection of restaurants where Menu del Dia is always good value. Lunch from 7.50€

Calpe and Albir are close by and also have lots to offer the holiday maker.
