La Ponderosa is a typical cortijo (country house) located below the mountains of the Sierra Nevada overlooking the Ojo Oscuro (dark eye) wetlands. It is a detached house and is surrounded by grape vines and fruit trees, with large patio shaded by vines and a mature fig. There is also a barbecue. The large swimming pool and sunbathing terrace are very private and have beautiful views across the countryside and distant mountains. The sleeping accommodation is made up of one double bedroom and one twin with a shared shower room. There is very good car access and private parking (2 cars). For the cooler months La Ponderosa has an open fire and room heaters.
El Padul is the most northerly village of the beautiful Lecrin valley and is just 10 minutes from Granada and the Alhambra palace and is 40 minutes from the Sierra Nevada ski resort, and 30 min. from the beach. It has all amenities with a variety of bars and restaurants.

Notes
Padul is a lively, friendly village with numerous bars, restaurants and shops. The Sierra Nevada mountains which rise dramatically behind the village. A perfect location for walking, horse riding, mountain biking etc. Other activities available in the area include diving, climbing, cycling, tennis, hang-gliding, walking, parascending, aqua park, etc. The beaches of Costa Tropical are under 30 min drive away. Sierra Nevada ski resort offers great skiing for all standards. It is 40 mins by car.
