Casita Buenavista is ideally situated for those who yearn for a slower-paced lifestyle, yet would still like to be within easy reach of Mediterranean beaches, cosmopolitoan coastal towns and the vast choice of leisure facilities renowned on the Costa del Sol.
A private lane leads to the property which is fully fenced with electric entrance gates. The cottage has its own private parking area. It is ideally situated and only 10 min drive from 2 major golf resorts, Alhaurin Golf which was designed by Seve Ballesteros and Lauro Golf – only 25min drive from the rich and famous marina resort of Puerta Banus and Marbella ,– 20 min from the historic city of Malaga, - 25 min from the coastal resorts and beaches of Torremolinos, Benalmadena and Fuengirola
The property has Satellite T.V. with UK channels the windows all have insect screens fitted and has heat and combined air conditioning along with a cozy log burning stove. It has breathtaking views and overlooks the peaceful countryside with its natural beauty and is perfect for artists, birdwatchers or just anyone who loves the countryside and yet still conveniently situated close to the town of Alhaurin el Grande.
The town of Alhaurin el Grande is a very typical Spanish village with plenty of banks, shops, fine restaurants and a thriving local Thursday market, which is well worth a visit.
It has many fine Spanish bars and restaurants, but also English and Irish bars, and Chinese and Indian Restaurants. It has some of the finest cuisine in the region. You can dine out on superb Spanish seafood, or Italian pizzerias, or simple English fish and chips.
CAR HIRE is essential when staying at Casita Buenavista as we are in beautiful countryside, but there are no buses, although we are only 3kms from the town of Alhaurin el Grande where taxis are readily available. There is also an excellent bus service to Malaga, and beach resort of Fuengirola.
Casita Buenavista is a single storey detached building which is situated in the grounds of a family villa set in over 2 acres of wonderful olive groves. The cottage is private and the owners Sue and Jeff will always respect your privacy, but will be available if you require any help or advice. Guests have access to the 12 x 4 swimming pool, but also have their own private plunge pool, and is a cosy retreat for a couple wanting a relaxing holiday in typical Andalucian countryside. Relax by the pool, while the Eagles soar overhead. Some children can be accommodated, please inform owners of your needs.
New for 2008 is an additional sunken solar heated private plunge pool, designed in Andalucian style, solely for the use of the cottage guests. which seats 4 - 6 people, along with private sun area.
The Cottage has its own roof sun terrace with 360º panoramic views, a covered terrace/patio area and Bar-B-Que area and is surrounded by gardens with many Mediterranean, plants and pine trees- The guests have the use of all the grounds and the owners 12 x 4 swimming pool. The cottage has a patio area with sun loungers, table and 4 chairs, where you can relax and dine with a glass of wine and take in the breathtaking views over the Guadalhorce valley as far as the eye can see also views of The Sierra de Nevada mountains and the Sierra de Mijas mountains. The roof sun terrance also has sun loungers. Relax and watch the wildlife, and observe the eagles as they soar above on the warm thermals and as night falls observe some magnificent sunsets, especially beautiful in autumn and spring time.
***The Kitchen:
The Kitchen is fully fitted and equipped and has a 4 ring gas hob, extractor fan, fridge freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, t-towels, dish clothes, selection of pans, dishes. cooking utensils and cutlery. Washing machine facilities available in separate Utility Room. Tap water is drinkable.
***The Lounge:
The Lounge has glass doors leading onto a covered terrace and is beautifully furnished with double sofa-bed, wicker armchair, coffee table, TV Cabinet, T.V with UK channels, CD/Radio,WI-Fi - Wi-Fi internet (bring your own laptop)access, and numerous maps and books Ceiling fan and lovely pictures also numerous ornaments. Enjoy romantic cozy evenings in front of the Log Burning Stove.
***The Bedroom:
The Bedroom has air conditioning and is fitted with double bed, bedside cabinets, dressing table, chest, walk in wardrobe space, full length wall mirror, ceiling fan , and lovely views onto the garden.
***The Bathroom:
The Bathroom is fully tiled, with on demand hot water and fully tiled walk in shower, large vanity mirror, towel rail, hand basin and W.C. We supply Linen, Towels, and Pool Towels.

What a wonderful place, Sue and Jeff are really nice people with total respect for your privacy but on hand if needed!!! A real gem of a cottage, nicely decorated and very, very clean. The plunge pool is brilliant for relaxing in with a glass of wine. The cottage is set in a lovely quiet area with lovely views across the countryside. Its near a small town with some lovely (reasonable) restaurants, we ate at one recommended by Sue and Jeff the food was excellent...
The welcome pack is a really good idea especially if like us, we arrived very late (after midnight).
They have 2 lovely dogs, which will only come to visit you if you encourage them, which I did, they have very gentle natures and I am a 'doggy' person and was missing my own Zorbe and Lady I really missed you when we left, sorry if you put on a few extra pounds.....
We really hope to return in the very near future.....
A fantastic week enjoyed in complete peace and quiet, a real treat for myself and my husband.

We had a wonderful holiday in the little house at Buenavista with it's marvellous view over the hills. In this peaceful and quiet location we really could relax and recover very well. A big thank you to Sue and Jeff for their hospitality . H.&B. Vienna, Austria.

Needing to get away & relax we booked this in the hope of being able to have some time out, enjoy the weather and recharge. What we got
was this and much much more ! I would reccommend this property to
any couple looking for a quiet getaway in a beautiful setting.
Sue & Jeff are lovely, very welcoming and friendly, yet they leave you
alone to allow you to have your own privacy. The accommadtion is lovely and clean with everything you would need provided. The rooftop terrace is great for sunbathing, with a nice breeze, but the plunge pool is superb !! We actually didn't use the main pool atall during our week (in May 2010,..hot & sunny all week, one rain shower only, a good time to go) Fresh fish from the local supermarket, town 5 mins drive away, was our favourite to put on the bbq in the early evening and watch the stunning sunsets,....you really are spoilt by the amazing view from the terrace. The welcome pack was a nice touch & much appreciated. There are many places to visit or explore but would reccommend a trip to the lakes to the north (50 mins) fantastic !
There are plenty of local bars & restaurants in the town to try too.
Book, and you will not be dissapointed !

A wonderful place, peaceful and accessable.
Sue and Jeff are excellent hosts with total respect for your privacy but on hand if needed.
A comfortable cottage, nicely decorated and very clean. The plunge pool is ideal for relaxing in with a glass of wine.
The area is lovely, quiet with calming views across the countryside.
It is located close to the small town Alhaurin el Grande, with reasonable restaurants and shops, all you need if you wish to be away from the crowds.
Great base to access all the centres of holiday excess and the country side as you wish.
They have 2 lovely dogs, which will only come to visit you if you encourage them!
A fantastic week enjoyed in complete peace and quiet, a great break for myself and my daughters.

5 Perfect Get-Away

I was looking for the perfect get away to relax enjoy the scenery and weather whilst studying for an big exam. I ended up at Casita Buenavista and couldn't have made a better choice. Not only did I have the get away I was looking for, I ended up in a beautiful little cottage with the most heavanely plunge pool where I could relax after a hard days work and watch the sun go down over the mountains. I couldn't want for anything more my hosts Sue and Jeff were perfect, friendly helpful, willing to do everything to make your stay pefect, including leaving me to my books in peace and quiet, but for ever welcoming if I wanted to escape the books for a while and chat over a cuppa. Although my stay was a bit of a retreat I'm sure this cottage would be just as much a perfect base for exploring the area, the nearby beaches of the Costa del Sol etc. With everything you could possibly need in this beautifully appointed holiday home, away from the crowds and noise of the resorts, it would be a great place to come back to after a day exploring the area.
