Enjoy a peaceful holiday in our lovely, rural retreat . The beaches of the Costa del Sol and Malaga International airport are only 20 minutes drive away. We can accommodate 2 to 10 ideal for a romantic retreat, golfing parties or even small weddings.
Prices are quoted for Villa Palma only. Villa Rosa prices are similar , please contact us. These houses can be rented separately out of high season. Finca Fernandez was originally a mandarin growing farm and has been sympathetically restored to provide holiday accommodation of two adjacent, typically Andalucian houses.
We are not on an urbanisation and are surrounded by orchards and fruit groves, with few neighbours and located off a private road belonging to the finca. Access to the main Malaga road is easy and takes one minute only. The National park is one side and the golf course on the other.

The properties are next door to the 27 hole Lauro Golf course, with the challenging Alhaurin Golf only 8 mins away, designd by Seve Ballesteros, plus 60 more courses within easy reach, Lew Hoad Tennis Club nearby, cycling, horse riding, bird watching, hiking, clay pigeon shooting, jet skiing, paragliding, scuba diving, etc.,

The perfect base for day trips to Gibraltar, the Alhambra at Granada, Ronda, Seville, Sierra Nevadas ( Chris Stewart’s ‘Driving over Lemons’ )

We have an adventure Consultants business and can arrange trips for you, even skiing in winter. We are 5 mins by car from either town where you will find plenty of bars, nightlife, discos, shops, supermarkets, restaurants, sports complex, indoor swimming pool and so on. A car is essential when booking to stay at Finca Fernandez because of our rural location.

Both houses are single storey, 2 bedroom and 3 bedroom. Villa Palma has one bathroom with full bath whilst the other has two shower bathrooms.

Last year, we added pool heating, if required, for which there is a small running cost charge per week of £38 - the pool can be heated to 27 degrees from 16 April to October.

New for this year, we have added a second satellite dish so we can now provide all major European TV channels as well as UK basic package, plus over 100 free DVDs.
2012 - recently installed WIFI to back up our hard wired ADSL which is also provided in both houses free of charge.

In high season both villas must be booked and prices are given for both houses. Villas can be leased singly out of this period.
If pool heating is required, April to October, £38 per week running costs is payable with balance.
If outdoor jacuzzi is required, £30 per week is payable with balance.
All other extras - welcome pack , 2 high chairs, 2 travel cots for babies, 100 DVDs, 24 hr internet connection,wifi, bed linen and towels ( not beach towels ) winter heating,etc., are free of charge.

Superb venue, location & setting. Just Great! Finca Fernandez Villas.

Finca Fernandez. Have to say an excellant location that reflects real Spain. Away from all the main tourist areas right next to a good golf course too! Superb owners too who were very understanding as there was 12 in our party, & at times I am sure we were very noisy especially once the Rioja & the San Miguel got flowing well! Really lovely views from the sun terraces & excellant in the Jacuzzi in the evenings. Great Barbeque area too. With 12 of us 2 of them had to use the bed settee in the living room, but they said it was OK & slept well on it. The small village of Alqueria has 2 good bars, one of which we did have a meal in that was very good indeed. Best to travel into the nearby town of El Grande for some good restaurants including the excellant Santiago (that was up amongst the best meals I have ever had!) The Mecadonia (Supermarket) that sells everything at good prices is there too along with an excellant cafe/bar on the corner / main roundabout in the middle of town that does the best English breakfast in Spain I am sure! You do need to hire a car or people carrier if there are a few of you as it is really in the middle of no where, but great for chilling out which is part of what holidays are all about. This is a superb holiday location & I am sure we will be back again. Many thanks Mac & Sue for a great week at your Villa's. Greg Moore & family.
