The apartment is situated in a new development in the heart of the village of Velez de Benaudalla with tapas bars, restaurants, shops & banks a short stroll away. The village is only 10 mins from the coast with golf close by and is described as `the gateway to the Alpujarras`. Ideal for outdoor activities of all kinds. Granada is only 30 minutes away, which of course is dominated by the Alhambra Palace, a must see! Granada lies in the foothills of Southern Spains Sierra Nevada mountain range in Andalucia. Many visitors to Spain believe that if there is only one place to visit then it should be Granada. The city has a population of 240,000 of which 80,000 are students so there is a vibrant atmosphere . Hard to believe, but there is skiing in southern Spain, only 45mins from the apartment! The Sierra Nevada resort has skiing at an altitude of over 10,000 feet and brilliant sunshine during most of the winter. With good weather the views are spectacular — almost unbelievable. From the top, skiers can see across the Mediterranean to the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. What Sierra Nevada does exude is the intoxicating Spanish love of the good life, making it possible to go skiing and sunbathe on the beach in the same day. First time visitors to Granada are suprised (and delighted) to find that the tapas culture thrives in this city. Not only are they good, they are also free! Just order a drink and in most bars youll be given a tapa with it. The property is beautifully furnished with quality fittings and consists of one double bedroom with wardrobes and en suite, large lounge with air con, sofa bed, TV & DVD, another full bathroom with bidet, fully fitted kitchen (fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher & washing machine)and large roof terrace with sun loungers and stunning views to the mountains and the historic village castle.There is private underground parking with lift access to the apartment. Large communal pool which is open from april-october.
