Used as a film set by Belgian TV in November 2005, this cosy cottage is situated in an area of oustanding natural beauty, commanding breathtaking views from all angles; over the entire lake of Zahara and the surrounding mountains. Situated on the edge of the Grazalema Park, nature lovers will appreciate the abundance of wildlife here, providing birdwatchers with the unique opportunity to see Griffon vultures and many different birds of prey soaring overhead. Whilst the location is secluded, it is not isolated, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. The owners, Pepe and Mary, also live on the 12-acre finca in their own house and, whilst respecting their guests privacy, they will be pleased to help with information or advice. The charming white village of El Gastor is just 5 kms away, and closeby are picturesque villages such as Zahara de la Sierra, Grazalema, or larger towns such as Ronda and Jerez.

The cottage offers comfortable accommodation for a maximum of 4 persons:- 1 bedroom with double bed and en-suite bathroom (WC, shower, wash-basin)
- 1 bedroom with twin beds and separate bathroom (WC and wash-basin)
- Cosy lounge with wicker furniture, TV, CD and DVD players and pellet stove
- Fully equipped kitchen/diner (fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine), 4-ring hob

A private 8m x 4m filtered swimming pool is surrounded by an ample terrace with sun-beds and a pergola for clients seeking the shade on hot days.

A large terrace with table and chairs, plus a picnic bench overlooking the lake, provide ideal spots to sip a cool drink and admire the wonderful scenery and beautiful sunsets.

All linen plus bathroom and pool towels are provided. Wifi is available.

The nearest airports are: Jerez (60 mins), Seville (90 mins) and Málaga (115 mins).

Great place to stay.

Great place to stay. Really a destination in itself, though we used it as sort of a jumping off point for day trips. There are several small towns near- El Zahara, El Gastor, Olvera, that are nice to visit for a break from the larger cities. It is very close to Ronda, and also not too far from Seville, Jerez, and Arcos de la Frontera. Did several day rides from here, including a drive to the coast to see Tarifa and Gibraltar; though it would have been perfectly fine to lounge around the house all week! Great views and surroundings. Definitely isolated enough to feel 'away from it all.' Mary and Pepe, the owners, were very friendly and accomodating.
