This luxury 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment is situated on the Ground floor of an apartment complex with uninterrupted views of mountains and sea for miles along the coastline of Calida. Situated in Los Collados Resort the views also overlook the town of Aguilas and the Castle. A large Supermarket is within 3 minutes drive of the apartment as is a Multiplex Cinema. It takes approximately 5 minute to drive to the centre of the town with its many restaurants, bars, tapas bars, coffee shops and ice-cream parlours. There is however a bar/restaurant in the complex within minutes of the apartment.The area boasts a micro-climate with average temperatures of 25.2 C, Aquilas is a well known port and tourist destination for the Spaniards, who holiday here all year round. The town is typically Spanish and every Saturday morning, a large open air market is held, selling fish produce, vegetables, clothing and items for the house and other interesting stalls.There are three beaches in the town they are kept spotlessly clean throughout the year. Within a very short drive of the town many fine secluded beaches and coves can be accessed.The town boasts both a rail station, coach station, taxis and local bus service to outlying areas, it is also undergoing a lot of re-development to enhance both the facilities and accommodation in the area. Activities that can be enjoyed in the area are plentiful and varied, water sports, many fine diving schools, organised walks along the coast and inland. For the golf enthusiast Desert Springs golf course is but 27Kms with the La Manga complex about a 90 minute drive. For those who enjoy sightseeing and historical areas Lorca is 20-30 minutes by car or coach/rail. Murcia the capital city of the region and the port of Cartagena are only 60 minutes away. Festivals also abound throughout the year the best known in February.The three nearest airports with direct flights from the UK are Murcia (80 minutes), Alicante (100 minutes), and Almeria (75 minutes).
