Casa Bianca
Luxury villa with stunning sea views and infinity pool, close to the steps down to the beach village of Sa Riera and five minutes by car to the enchanting historic town of BEGUR with wonderful choice of Catalan restaurants, shops, tapas bars and late night cellar bars.
Six bedrooms and four bathrooms. Four of the bedrooms have direct access to a terrace.
The landscaped grounds have several
terraces including two leading from the main bedroom. With a dedicated bbq area and ample garden furniture this makes a most relaxing area to enjoy the panoramic views with easy access from the house.
The furnishings are to a very high standard throughout.
Accommodation:
A private drive leads to the house with a garage. At this level the front door opens to a hall and a door to a double bedroom with ensuite shower room.
Stairs to the first floor open onto a large open plan living area with glass doors to several terraces including access to the pool area with a terraced surround and direct sea views.
The living area is furnished with comfortable sofas and dining table and chairs for 14 persons. There is a flat screen tv [freeview], cd/dvd. Also on this level are 3 bedrooms (double ensuite, twin and single with extra bed) and a further bathroom.
A galleried landing leads to the master bedroom suite with bedroom and bathroom with bath and shower. A large room leading off the master bedroom is ideal for children to share as this doubles up as a sixth bedroom with a double sofabed and two single sofabeds sleeping an additional 4 people.
The house has air conditioning and the living room has a wood burning stove.
A fully equipped very good quality kitchen leads from the dining area and has built in appliances including oven, microwave, hob, fridge/freezer.
A utility room houses the washing machine and tumble dryer with an extra sink.
CASA BIANCA is situated in an elevated position just 5mins drive from the charming medieval hillside town of Begur and within 20mins drive of the enchanting coastal towns of Calella de Palafrugell, Llafranc and Tamariu. The beachside village of Sa Riera which has a good choice of restaurants and a few small shops is between 5-10mins by car or a 10 minute walk via steps to the beach. This sandy bay gently slopes to the sea making it ideal for young children and the dramatic cliffs and coastline provide a wonderful backdrop.

Casa Bianca comfortably sleeps 10 people with additional sleeping for up to 14 people subject to a surcharge of £75 per person per week for numbers over 10 and up to 14 which must comprise adults and children.

About the area ~
The nearest beach at SA RIERA is just a 5 minute drive or you can walk to the beach from the nearby steps to the villa. This will take about 15 mins but longer coming back due to uphill return! Sa Riera is an old fishing village which has been revamped but still retains its charm. There are several waterfront restaurants and a few shops, bars and cafes. The beachside is littered with pretty fishermens cottages, many of which are now holiday homes Within 10-15 minutes are the excellent beaches and coastal villages of AIGUABLAVA, TAMARIU, CALELLA DE PALAFRUGELL and LLAFRANC.
Begur - This charming hillside town with its cobbled streets offers the visitor an outstanding choice of Catalan restaurants, tapas bars and shops. The main square has entertainment in the high season and there are many late night bars and a couple of discos. The overall atmosphere is very Spanish with local artists` paintings and crafts displayed in the square during the summer. Every Wednesday there is a market sellling fruit/veg clothes and accessories. There are excellent supermarkets,specialist fishmonger, butchers` shops and freshly baked bread available in many shops.
General information on the area ~
This is the unspoilt COSTA BRAVA or CATALUNYA which is free from large Tour Operated holidays and where most of the properties are owned by Barcelonians. It is rarely overcrowded and has retained real Spanish charm without a souvenir shop in sight! This is an area you will want to return to again and again.... Every day there will be a different place of interest to visit, be it a cultural pursuit or another sundrenched sandy cove with clear water to while away the day. All the coastal resorts here have waterfront restuarants, cafes and shops and it is a real pleasure to wander the little streets around the front and enjoy the spectacular scenery that this rugged coastline offers. Development here is mainly villas as the terrain does not allow for large apartment blocks and the coastline remains intact with some wonderful coastal path walks.
There are many other places of interest including Salvador Dali`s castle at PUBOL and his amazing museum at Figueres, where you cannot fail to be drawn in by his diverse art. At La Bisbal the streets are littered with ceramic shops and there is also an antique centre. Girona is a wonderful small city to visit, known as mini-Barcelona, with its own charming ramblas and interesting shops and pavement restaurants. Barcelona, if you crave city life, is one hour by train from Flaca (20mins by car from Begur) and here you can leave your car and get right into the centre of Barcelona by train.
The border of France is approximately one hour away but you will find all you need and more in this beautiful and charming unspoilt region of Spain, Costa Brava, Catalunya.
