Casa Miguel is a rustically restored farmhouse which retains many original features, beamed ceilings and stone floors. The house has 3 bedrooms and two shower rooms (one of which is ensuite) and the capacity to sleep 6 people.
The front door leads into a traditional Spanish kitchen/diner which leads through into the living room with log burner. Stairs give access to a double bedroom with Spanish bed and then through into a twin bedroom which has separate access via the upper terrace. The third bedroom with ensuite shower room is accessed via the main terrace.

Outside there is ample space for dining /sunbathing and relaxing by the pool, with BBQ and shaded seating area on the lower terrace and a further upper terrace.

We are fortunate to have an excellent bar and restaurant just a short walk down the hill (a little longer on the way back up after a good night out!).

The beautiful historic village of Montefrio is just 10mins away by car where you will find many tapas bars/restaurants, shops, bakeries, banks, and pharmacies.

Activities
The surrounding area is perfect for country walks/rambling/hiking and is very popular with cyclist, artists and climbers. The area is also perfect for bird watching with the Golden Oriel being one of many regular visitors. Horse riding around the Parapanda mountain can be arranged.

A visit to La Villa a Moorish Castle perched upon a rocky pinnacle overlooking Montefrio is a must. Montefrio also boast a 18th century round church.
Just 20 minutes away is Penas de los Gitanos a rocky scarp containing an archaeological site of a megalithic settlement.

Just 1 hours drive away is the beautiful city of Granada. Visit the world famous Alhambra Palace or ski/hike in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
Malaga beach is just over an hour away , and Rhonda, Antequera, Seville and Cordoba are all within easy driving distance.

A deposit is payable on booking with the balance payable 8 weeks prior to arrival. Arrival time is not before 3pm. Should the property not be left in a reasonably clean condition a E50 end cleaning charge will be applied.
Change over day is normally Saturday. We request that the property is vacated by 10 am on the day of departure.

Jane and Mick bought Casa Miguel 8 years ago, spending the first couple of years working hard to lovingly restore this beautiful cottage to its former we were looking to purchase a house in Spain we knew from the outset that a coastal property was not for us. Perfect holiday

We've just returned from Casa Miguel, it more than lived up to expectations, the house is beautiful, well equipped, lots of thoughtful touches. It's well located for visiting Granada, Cordoba and many other villages. We really enjoyed the pool and the fabulous view. It's one of the most beautiful places we have every stayed at and we would definitely return.
