THE OLIVE MILL, LA MURADA... Close to Orihuela and convenient to both Alicante & Murcia airports.
As its name suggests, this once working Spanish Olive Mill has been converted by its owners with much Tender Loving Care- These cottage style apartments with exposed beams and original features have been transformed from the original stables and store rooms. The mill itself is still being reformed and the owners welcome you to look around if you are interested during your stay. A tranquil setting, ideal for people who just like to relax & unwind somewhere quiet, maybe lose themselves for a while, but only a short drive from the beautiful Mediterranean beaches and area the Costa Blanca/Costa Calida has to offer, the historic town of Orihuela is close by. Conveniently located to feel far from the Costa Crowds yet in reality you are not far away from anything! The Apartments are spacious but homely, each sleeping 2, keeping cool in the Summer but staying cosy during the Winter months.The Gardens are pretty, the tall old pines provide natural shade and a Summer siesta in the hammock is a must during your stay! The Large Private Pool is inviting, lots of terrace space, infact you are spoilt for choice with space, 2 people can often be considered as a crowd! All of this plus the Dining area & Bar sit on an elevated site, orange groves spread as far as the eye can see and the mountain views are stunning. The area is ideal for walking and several golf courses are available in the area...Las Ramblas, La Finca & Campoamor to name but a few!
Whilst an ideal Peaceful holiday location, this is a good base for people who want to explore the area, catch up on some golfing or perhaps are house hunting on The Costa Blanca & Costa Calida. B&B, Long lets, Short Stays and Weekend Breaks are also available. We cater for your needs and offer some meals & snacks, Quiet Bar and Quality local wines. Please note..During the Winter months, eve meals can be served to you in the comfort of the apartment..Meals on Wheels! Summer dining is offered Alfresco by the pool. However, youll find pretty seating areas in & around the gardens for self catering and views are equally as unspoilt from your accommodation terrace. Your hosts offer a warm & friendly welcome but respect your privacy at all times. No need to self cater, turn up, put your feet up and let us do the rest for you if required. SO MUCH CHOICE... A great idea for a few days away.

Surroundings The friendly village of La Murada is a 5 min drive and hosts traditional Spanish Tapas bars & restaurants. There are several more lively music bars, but for a more peaceful setting a seat in the square overlooking the beautiful church watching & listening to the locals is nice. The Sunday market is popular and runs through the village streets, all shops & supermarkets are open and the busy atmosphere is fun. Orihuela town is flanked in history, its’ ornate old buildings and museums are not to be missed. You will also find many stores, fashion, perfumeries, large hypermarkets aswell as quaint shops tucked away in the back streets.
Benidorm Water/ animal parks & attractions and Terra Mitica, the Meds’ leading theme park (55 mins) Many beaches includig MarMenor coastline but the closest is Guadamar (40 mins) Torrevieja Busy coastal resort & a large Friday market (45 mins) Fortuna Banos spa & treatments, thermal pool, restaurants, beautiful relaxing setting and day passes available (20 mins) Alicante/Murcia Both beautiful cities, shopping & history and the harbour/marina at Alicante. Simple train ride (50 mins) about 5€ return ticket. Jumilla Ideal for Wine Buffs. Famous for its vineyards, visit the wine museum, monastery and see the finest of mansions around the main square. Elche Rio Safari, A fun day out for all the family.

Location 30 mins drive- Alicante Airport 50 mins drive- San Javier/ Murcia Airport. La Murada (once known as Los Vicentes) although part of the Alicante Province, sits right on the Murcia border(Costa Calida), so a great location for both regions.Both airports have easy motorway access to this site. Maps/ Directions are available on the owners website for all bookings.
PLEASE NOTE The owners live on site and are there to assist if needed, but will in no way disturb your privacy. Their wish is for you to have an enjoyable stay at The Olive Mill. The Complimentary Welcome Pack essentials, Tea, Coffee, Milk, Bread etc are provided so you can quickly settle in and not have to rush to the supermarket upon arrival. All guests are met when arriving in La Murada, as country locations can be difficult to find, especially after dark whilst trying to manage a hire car at the same time!

Accomodation comprises of a lounge diner with CD player, TV for video use (selection of films available) DVD(discs NOT provided) and patio doors to your own outside terrace. Well equipped kitchen with electric hob and microwave and spacious bathroom with power shower. The bedroom is furnished with twin beds and ample wardrobe space. Pine trees provide shade and seating in the garden and the large pool is totally private with sun loungers/ umbrellas provided free of charge. Owners offer some meals and snacks and a quiet pool side bar . Ironing facilities are available in the apartments and a washing machine is on site available for use to guests with a small local charge. |

The Prices per week are for apartment rental and entire use of all facilities, pool, garden etc, NOT priced per person. Always includes bedding, bathroom towels, welcome pack & weekly cleaning. If your stay is for more than 7 days, a convenient time will be arranged for the cleaning & laundry changes. (Owners provide laundry changes for Long lets, most owners dont provide this service. Also, bills included, very rare!) Airport transfers can be arranged although car hire is strongly recommended. All durations of booking are accepted, including Short Stays, Weekend Breaks and Long Lets, please contact Heather for any price request other than weekly rates quoted. Pricing is fair, we charge ONLY for the days you stay & dont expect you to pay for full weeks when in residence for additional or odd days. Any changeover day is allowed and times flexible. Food services are offered all year although maybe reduced in the Winter . We cater for YOUR needs. Please note, NO PRICE INCREASES WERE MADE FOR 2007 & PRICES FOR 2008 ARE THE SAME UNTIL THE END OF SEPTEMBER. NO CATCH, JUST GREAT VALUE!!!!!
