A two-bedroom townhouse , located on the well-established residential urbanization of El Chaparral, 30 minutes from Alicante or Murcia Airports, 2.5 miles from the centre of Torrevieja and its beaches, 3 miles from La Mata Beach, within walking distance from La Mata "Nature Reserve" and salt lake. A communal swimming pool is just a few steps away.
The house is located in a pedestrian complex and entered via a private patio surrounded with shrubs for privacy and offers:
A patio with wooden table and chairs, sun loungers / sun parasol.
On the ground floor:
- Lounge/dining room with ceiling fans and hot* & cold air conditioning, sofa, armchair, dining table with four chairs. 28-channel satellite large flat-screen TV with British channels, (*Please note: Heating is essential in winter months in the evening)- Cloakroom with toilet, washbasin.
- Kitchen , fully fitted with a full sized electric oven and ceramic hob, microwave, hallogen oven, dishwasher & washing machine. All the crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils required for a comfortable self-catering holiday are supplied.
Upstairs:
- a bathroom with washbasin, toilet and bath with shower, hairdryer
- a twin-bedded room, with hot & cold air-conditioning, wardrobe.
- a master bedroom with hot & cold air-conditioning , ceiling fan, double bed, large fitted wardrobe, chest of drawers and armchair. French windows looking onto a balcony to the front of the property.
An internal staircase leads to the roof terrace with space for private sunbathing and with a garden table and chairs, sun loungers. Views to La Mata salt lake.
- Bed linen is supplied. Please bring your own beach/bath towels. For winter lets, the house is well equipped with continental quilts, blankets and rugs as it can get surprisingly cold at night as opposed to the blue skies and sunshine in the daytime.
Local amenities: No more than 500 yards away, El Chaparral offers a grocery shop, a hardware store, hairdresser, a pizzeria, 5 restaurants and several bars, some with live entertainment in the evening. Close by is the natural park (=nature reserve) of La Mata leading to La Mata beach. In summer months, a small aqua park (Los Flamingos) is within walking distance.
A regular bus service (every 20 mns) is available to go to the hypermarket (Carrefour), to a large aqua park (Aquapolis) or to Torrevieja. The fare is just €1.00
In brief, Torrevieja offers many bars/restaurants, clubs, clean and sandy beaches, modern shopping in the recently opened Habaneras, open-air markets and a daily night market. There are five golf courses in the surrounding area within 20 minutes of the house; Villamartin, Las Ramblas, Campoamor, Las Fincas and Quesada. The area offers many leisure activities for families: clean beaches, aqua parks, horse riding, bowling, water sports, boat excursions, etc…
