Description: |
Casa Terrazas is a town house in Albunuelas, a "white" village in the mountains near Granada. It is available for holiday or long term rental.
Accommodation is on two levels with a large lounge / diner, well fitted modern kitchen and toilet on the ground floor and two bedrooms and bathroom on the first floor. There is a terrace at the front door and a private terrace through patio doors from the master bedroom. It easily accommodates four with a king size and two twin beds. Air conditioning is available for cooling the summer heat and to take away the chill in winter!
The house is part of a newly built complex with 14 similar properties, it has reserved garage space and a communal swimming pool with seating area. It is situated on the south facing slopes of the Sierra de Albunuelas at the head of the famous Lecrin Valley. Each property has a magnificent view over the valley and the Rio de Albunuelas towards the Sierra de las Guajares.
Albunuelas is a short walk from the house and is a typical traditional Spanish village. There are several shops, bakers, bars and restaurants all with a very Spanish character. Dont be surprised to see the locals using donkeys in the narrow streets to transport their wares!
The main highway linking Granada to the Costa Tropical is 15 minutes drive away. Along the route you will see more magnificent scenery and pass through several pleasant villages such as Restabel, Melegis and Lecrin. These offer even more shopping, drinking and eating opportunities.
The area is served by airports at Granada (about 35min by car) and Malaga (about 1hr 50min by car). These provide easy access Europe wide.
Further afield, a visit to Granada and the Alhambra (approx. 30 minutes) is not to be missed whilst south to the Costa Tropical, the white village of Salobrena (about 45 mins) has lots of character with both old town and beach areas. Almuneca (a further 15 mins) is a resort town popular with the Spanish and has a castle and a beautiful old town with narrow winding streets. The old town provides lots of shopping, drinking and eating facilities - what more could you ask for!.
Finally, if your holiday plans call for lots of exercise or your visit is in winter, skiing is available in the Sierra Nevada (about 90 mins), documented walks are available all around the Lecrin Valley and golf courses are reasonably close.
