Description: |
This well equipped modern apartment is attached to the owner’s villa perched high over the beautiful bay La Herradura and on the edge of a National Park with wild mountain goats and fabulous walks into the mountains. The area is renowned for its many secluded bays. Accommodation comprises two en-suite bedrooms, large lounge and kitchen/dining area which together with the principle bedroom faces south towards the Mediterranean. These have direct access to the apartments own private pool, which is for the exclusive use of visitors, and large sun terrace and a garden barbeque. It has off road parking and private entrance. Car hire is essential.
The apartment is convenient to many of the wonders of old Spain: Granada and the Alhambra Moorish palace and modern ski slopes (1 hours drive), Cordoba with its beautiful Mosque (2 hrs.), Seville and its ancient Jewish quarter (2 and a half hrs) , Ronda with its famous gorge and the oldest bull ring in Spain and Las Alpujarras, a distinctively unique mountainous region of Berber houses and old crafts (1 hr.). Alternatively, tax free Gibraltar is only two hours away.
Closer to the apartment is Nerja (6 mins) with its world famous caves and Balcony of Europe. Nerja boasts 650 restaurants ranging from Spanish, including some good tapas bars, through every other nationality. Nearby Almunecar (an 8 min. drive) has a charming old quarter, including a Moorish castle, an aqua park, as well as many shops, bars and restaurants and a municipal market with a huge selection of fish and shellfish, a very Spanish experience.
