Alcaidesa is an exclusive village resort on the coast of the western Costa del Sol.
It is bordered by a magnificent long unspoilt beach stretching to Gibraltar 5 miles to the west, and Sotogrande to the east. It is ideal for discerning families and golfers who prefer to get away from the crowds.
(PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CURRENCY OF GIBRALTAR IS THE GB POUND, WHICH MAY HELP REDUCE HOLIDAY COSTS. THE CURRENT EXCHANGE RATE WITH WITH THE EURO IS FAIRLY POOR).
There are several restaurants and a small shopping area in the resort. Larger shopping areas are available within a few minutes drive.
The impressive Alcaidesa Golf Clubhouse opened in Summer 2007 and boasts a restaurant, pro shop, practice ground etc. Discounted golf is available. Two golf courses run from the clubhouse; a heathland course and the only links course on the Costa del Sol.
Valderrama, Sotogrande, San Roque and Almenara Golf Courses, to name but a few, are also only minutes away.
The Costa de la Luz and its windsurfing capital, Tarifa, is half an hour away.
The apartment is new, luxurious and less than 5 minutes walk from the Alcaidesa Golf Club.
It is very light, furnished to a high standard with marble floors throughout , is both air conditioned and centrally heated and has stunning UNRIVALLED panoramic views over the Alcaidesa Links Golf Course towards mountains and sea, from all rooms and the large wraparound terrace with its own private jacuzzi.
The accomodation comprises of an entrance hall, leading to the lounge/dining room with direct access to a 3 sided terrace overlooking the 1st tee and fairway of the Links Course and the 18th fairway and hole.
The lounge has one 2 seater leather sofa and one matching 3 seater sofabed, a coffee table, satellite TV, DVD player plus an extending dining table with seating for 6.
The master bedroom is ensuite with fitted wardrobes, superking bed which can also be split into 2 single beds and a safe.
The en suite has twin basins, a jaccuzzi bath with overhead shower and bidet.
The second bedroom has twin beds and fitted wardrobes. The second bathroom has a spa body jet shower.
The large terrace has 4 loungers, a table and chairs for 6, plus a jaccuzzi.
The separate modern kitchen is fully furnished with a good quality large fridge freezer, dish washer etc and an adjoining utility room with a washing machine, tumble drier, microwave oven etc.
There is underground parking with 2 parking spaces, lifts and two community swimming pools, both fenced for child safety, one of which is on the same level as the apartment.
All linen including beach towels is provided
Price of the apartment is from 550 euros per week, depending on the season. Price is negotiable. Daily rate also available.
Direct flights are available from England to either Gibraltar, Malaga or Jerez. Direct flights available from Scotland to Malaga only. Transfer time from Gibraltar 15 minutes, Malaga 60 -75 minutes, Jerez 2 hours.
