In an exclusive neighbourhood approx. Approx. 600m to the small bay at Aigua Gelida, accessed by a coastal path with stunning views of the rugged coastline. A private drive leads to the villa which is in an elevated position. Please note that there are many steps up to the front door. A covered terrace wraps around the house with excellent large covered dining area off the living room. The coastal path at the waters edge is less than one minute from the house and leads to the small sandy bay at Aiguagelida which is approximately 10 minutes walk or 5 mins walk on the road. The charming coastal village of Tamariu is 1.5km by car or you can walk in approximately 15 minutes. Here you will find an idyllic sandy bay with a promenade littered with waterfront restaurants, cafes and shops. The beach is sandy and this is a perfect spot for relaxing. There are many other coastal resorts and inland medieval towns to visit in this region, all with equal charm. Historic Begur is just 10mins or so drive and here you will be spoilt for choice with the excellent array of Catalan restaurants, tapas bars and late night cellars. Individual shops adorn the cobbled streets around the old square and it is a delight to wander around or just sit and stare! Casa dels Peixos is approached by a private drive and stands within its own grounds. There are several terraces and a grassed area all within a very peaceful atmosphere. The private pool is in its own space with a large surrounding terrace with sunbeds. The living area leads directly onto a covered terrace which wraps around the house offering plenty of seating area with marvellous views. The kitchen is well equipped and includes a dishwasher. In addition there is a laundry room with washer dryer and a shower room on this level. The villa has an open plan split level living room and kitchen dining room with extra dining furniture on the terrace. A promenade with restaurants and shops fronts the beach and creates a very convivial al fresco atmosphere. A short journey in the car will take you to the hillside town of Begur where there is a large choice of restaurants serving Catalan cuisine. A few minutes drive In the opposite direction takes you to Llafranc with its crescent shaped sandy beach and promenade with restaurants, hotels and shops along the front, looking straight out to sea. A small marina in the bay adds to the local interest. From Llafranc there is a coastal path walk to the exquisite string of sandy coves and waterfront shops and restaurants of Calella de Palafrugell. BEGUR This charming hillside town with its cobbled streets offers the visitor an excellent choice of Catalan restaurants, tapas bars and shops. The main square has entertainment in the high season and there are several late night cellar bars and a couple of discos. The overall atmosphere is very Spanish with local artists` paintings and crafts displayed in the square during the summer. Every Wednesday there is a market sellling fruit/veg clothes and accessories. There are excellent supermarkets,specialist fishmonger, butchers` shops and freshly baked bread available in many shops.
