Description: |
In the southern Andalusia where the rugged mountain scenery and the Spanish Mediterranean Sea meet in the coastal area, the Costa Tropical, lies the beautiful medieval white washed old town Salobreña. This coast derives its name from the tropical fruit trees that decorate the mountains. In the middle of this oasis of calm lies Villa Joaquin.
Villa Joaquin is located on a finca of 1 hectare.
The former owners grew on this farm the famous Andalusian grapes. In 2006, Villa Joaquin has been fully renovated.
The house has two separate living/sleeping areas (together for up to four people). The spacious areas offer the possibility of maximum privacy. Each living /sleeping area has an own satellite TV /radio receiver (FTA).
The house is quiet for visitors with love for nature but at 5-minute drive from the beach overlooking the green tropical fruitvalley.
From the spacious terrace of this comfortable country house you have spectacular views towards the beautifully landscaped garden with private pool.
Living/sleeping area 1 covers an area of 32 m2.
Entering the room you’ll find the seating area (2 sofas with a table), then the dining table and finally a double bed (1.60 x 2.00 meters). Living/sleeping area 1 is directly connected to the kitchen and has sliding doors to the terrace/garden.
Living/sleeping area 2 covers an area of 24 m2.
Entering this room you’ll find two divanbeds (both 0.80 x 2.00 meters), then a dining table and finally the seating area (sofa and armchair). Living/sleeping area 2 is directly connected to the bathroom and also has sliding doors to the terrace/garden.
Kitchen
Villa Joaquin has a spacious well-equipped kitchen(15m2). It has all supplies to cook comfortably (electric cooking, combi fridge freezer, microwave and oven). The kitchen has a dining table,a washing machine and a radio CD-player.
Bathroom
The bathroom has a surface area of 9 m2 and has a toilet, a shower, a hole basin with a mirror and a cabinet.
Environment
Villa Joaquin is located in the green heart of the Costa Tropical with beautiful views towards the clear blue Mediterranean Sea. The mild climate with 320 days of sunshine per year and an average temperature of 20 degrees grow many tropical fruits such as chirimoya, mispero, khaki, mango, avocado and sugarcane. The rum museum is located in Motril.
The area has not yet mass-tourism. There are typical Spanish beaches where you can enjoy the fresh fish, prepared in one of the many small chiringuitos.
The property is very accessible with a car, there are regular bus services between Salobrena and all the important towns and sights.
The town of Salobreña is a surprisingly beautiful coastal village with traditional whitewashed houses in Moorish style. It is built against a rock on which a Moorish castle. The small streets and squares offer much shade in the summer. In addition to many restaurants Salobreña also provides sufficient supermarkets and banks.
In the immediate vicinity are Motril (an original Spanish port) and the cozy village Almuñécar, both known for its colorful weekly markets. On 30 minutes drive away are the caves of Nerja and the famous Balcon de Europa to visit. At 70 km away is the famous Alhambra in Granada. The city of Malaga, with the new Picasso museum is at 1 hour distance to reach (100 km).
The Sierra Nevada, which is appr. 1 hour drive from Salobreña has a ski resort where all winter sports are available.
The Alpujarras are a piece of Andalusia that you can not miss. These mountains are located 40 km from Villa Joaquin and is a paradise for walks of all levels of difficulty. You also will find a series of charming, cozy villages, all located at an altitude between 1000 and 1500m. Specially Lanjaron with its well known mineral water.
