The COUNTRY COTTAGE (CASA RURAL) “EL SEQUER”, is a typical 19th century Spanish farmhouse, that was formerly used for producing raisins. In 2002 it was beautifully restored by its owners and converted into a charming self-catering holiday country cottage that is fully equipped as a holiday retreat for a small family, friends or a romantic getaway. This farm building has been carefully renovated respecting its original architectural features and using traditional materials such as terracotta floors, stone walls and bamboo cane for the ceiling while combining modern installations such as heating, air-conditioning, internet access, all modern kitchen appliances, etc for holiday rentals throughout the year. Bed & bath linen are provided as well as a weekly cleaning service & pool/garden maintenance. There is a child’s cot and high chair and two mountain bikes for guests use.
Amenities and a welcome pack (fresh fruit, bread, drinks, wine, tea, coffee, butter, etc) are provided upon your arrival as well as maps & information about the area.

This holiday rental cottage, with its colourful and rustic-design interior, and furnished to high standards, can accommodate up to four people. It has two fully furnished double bedrooms, (one with queen sized bed, one with 2 twin beds) and a bathroom with whirlpool bath.
All rooms overlook the garden and pool.
The spacious yet cozy lounge-dining room has a fireplace, TV, DVD,CD/music player, library area, and a comfortable seating area.
The original well separates this area from an open-plan, fully equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, oven, cooker, extractor, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and other small electrical appliances. This living area enjoys panoramic views of the valley and surrounding countryside. The porch, under the shade of fruit trees, is a natural lookout point over the Rectoria valley and surrounding mountain ranges.
The secluded garden has a barbecue area, floodlit swimming pool for those warm summer nights, a fruit orchard and childrens play area. There are sunloungers and outdoor furniture for al-fresco meals.
Surrounded by orange groves, in a quiet location at the back of the village of Benimeli, El Sequer's unique setting ensures a tranquil, relaxing and memorable holiday for small families or couples.

The owners, Jenny & Oswaldo, personnaly meet & greet you to show & explain the property and are at your disposal, in a discreet manner, to provide any information you may require during your stay. They will happily make restaurant , sport activity or cultural event reservations for their guests, organize wine tastings, gastronomic routes, etc. Attentive but not intrusive, their aim is to provide a memorable holiday setting where their guests will immediately feel "at home away from home".

Located on the outskirts of the village of Benimeli, yet within 5 mins walking distance of the village square, El Sequer is nestled amongst orange groves, between the foothills of the Segaria mountain range and the lush Rectoria valley, where in spring the fragrance of orange blossom and the flowering of almond trees is a delight to the senses
El Sequer is in a strategic location: only 20 mins. from Denia or 10 mins from magnificent sandy beaches between Denia & Oliva. Benimeli is also only 6 Kms from the N-332 and AP-7 motorway exit which provides access to Valencia, Alicante and the rest of Spain.
With 3 nature parks within a 5 - 15 Km radius, it is an ideal location for outdoor activities such as WALKING, TREKKING, CYCLING, HORSERIDING, GOLF, WATER SPORTS(SAILING, WINDSURF, SCUBADIVING) BIRDWATCHING, PAINTING ,etc.
There is an ample variety of cultural activities & fiestas throughout the year both in Benimeli and the neigbouring towns. Many interesting places of interest within a 30 Km radius as well as theme and water parks in Benidorm, Moorish remains, prehistoric caves, etc .
For ANTIQUE MARKET lovers, this is a paradise as there are several antique and secondhand markets held during the week at nearby towns.
In the neighbouring valley, Jalón & Parcent are home to well known wineries (bodegas) can be visited and internationally acclaimed wines can be tasted.
This area of the Valencian Region (known as the Marina Alta) is famous for its gastronomy with a wide range of restaurants, from Michelin star to local tascas with dishes to suit all tastes. Many of these are within a 10 - 15 Km radiius from Benimeli.
