This penthouse is sited in the secure, front-line development of Villa Gadea, in a tranquil corner of the Costa Blanca. The apartment is set in extensive landscaped gardens, that provide a spectacular setting for your special holiday. Located beside the sea with direct access to the beach and a backdrop of majestic mountains. Enjoy relaxing walks through the picturesque tropical gardens, past glittering pools, down to the blue flag beach with summer cafes & a childrens playgrounds, creating the perfect Mediterranean experience. The apartment has spectacular views across Altea Bay from almost every room. The upper terrace with its sea views offers secluded sun bathing and a Jacuzzi spa for that extra special experience. The lower terrace has a comfortable outdoor sofa and arm chairs with views across the swimming pool below to panoramic sea vistas and visiting international yachts moored around the little island of La Olla.


LOCATION

The town of Altea embodies both modern and old Spain. It is one of the most charming places on the Costa Blanca; sheltered by mountains and overlooking the sea, the old town is set on a hill above the waterfront. This picturesque village with its many little streets of immaculate white washed houses is a fascinating place to stroll around, exploring the boutiques and galleries. At the summit is the town square, Plaza de la Iglesia with its magnificent views and the church boasting one of the finest blue domes in the region. Rest here in one of the outdoor cafes, and enjoy tapas and a drink. There are many restaurants, bars and numerous art galleries in the side streets. In summer the streets are pedestrianised and artists & craftsmen display their works. Altea has always attracted writers and artists because of its special ambience. From the old town its a short walk to the sea-front and the newer palm-lined esplanade packed with restaurants serving delicious international cuisines.


LOUNGE, TERRACES & GROUNDS

This luxury penthouse apartment is situated over two floors, with Italian marble flooring, air-conditioning and underfloor heating throughout. The spacious lounge is furnished to a high standard in an elegant Madrid style with flexible seating arrangements, to ensure a memorable experience.
Full width glass doors from both the dining and living areas lead to a large, full width, sun drenched terrace with a dining area for al-fresco meals, matching cane furniture for relaxing & sun-awnings. • • Sony 32" LCD TV with Philips 3.1 Home Theatre System with BBC, ITV, Spanish & many other European channels, plus CD & DVD player.
• On the upper terrace there are 3 adjustable cane sunbeds with cushions, matching side table & parasol. Both terraces have terracotta wall lights.
• Lightweight folding aliminium loungers are provided for use by the pool.
• Villa Gadea is built on an undulating site and our apartment is set on a rise. You can walk to the beach along paths (with some steps) that meander through the development or via a quiet private road. The grounds cover a large area and there is direct access from the development, through private gates, onto the secluded La Olla beach. Each building has its own dedicated pool with underwater lighting. There are 2 childrens playgrounds, one behind the beach and one beside the Villa Gadea Hotel.

KITCHEN

The kitchen has marble worktops, ceramic hob, eye level microwave/grill and fridge-freezer, leading to a utility room with sink and washer/dryer and clothes airer. Additionally, there are 6 lightweight chairs for use by the pool, pool towels provided.

• Master bedroom with stunning sea views, large comfortable double bed, high-quality mattress, fine white, (200 thread count) cotton bed linen, built in wardrobes, chest of drawers with mirror over. Double doors open onto a secluded terrace with wonderful sea views across Altea Bay. Here you can relax in total privacy on elegant cushioned, cane sun loungers, or luxuriate in the Jacuzzi hot-tub with underwater lights and count the stars!
• Bedroom 2, has a garden view, twin beds, comfortable, quality mattresses, built in wardrobes, bedside tables, dressing table with mirror & chair.
• Bedroom 3 with sea view, twin beds, comfortable, quality mattresses, bedside table with lamp, built-in wardrobe, wall mirror and direct access to the upper sun terrace.
• All the beds have fine cotton sheets and duvets (in winter!) and pillows (2 per person).
• The spacious bedrooms have been decorated to a high standard with matching bed heads, covers and furnishings to create a warm luxurious finish for your comfort.

Directly beside Villa Gadea is the 5* MELIA VILLA GADEA HOTEL which is open to non residents. The hotel has a luxury Thalasso spa & gym; restaurants & bars overlooking a large organic tiered swimming pool.

The coastline and bays around Altea provide excellent marina facilities. All types of water sports & sailing schools with hire and tuition available are available nearby. For those who like to enjoy the the coastline from the sea, there are many different boat excursions up and down the Costa Blanca.

CULTURE

Altea is considered one of the most important cultural centres of the Valencian Community. There are a wide variety of cultural offerings, galleries and projects. In August, Villa Gadea provides live musical accompaniment to probably the largest and most dramatic fusion of music and fireworks in Europe - based on an island in the bay the pyrotechnic display is reflected in the sea. It is a stunning event and people come from all over Spain to watch it.

SECURITY
Villa Gadea is a secure resort with video entry to the apartment. It is reached through manned electronic gates, private underground parking is accessed by remote control and there is 24 hour on-site security with multi-CCTV. Additionally, to ensure a good nights sleep, the apartment has acoustic soundproofing, under floor heating, air-conditioning and the master bedroom has remote control security shutters. Digital safe deposit. Our English agent-caretaker lives locally and is on hand to ensure your stay is trouble free. Extra maid service available.

ACTIVITIES
As well as the crystal clear sea and blue flag beaches with all the usual watersports, the area has plenty of activities within easy reach to fill a family holiday full of fun and excitement. * Terra Mitica - a magnificent new theme park where ancient civilisations come to life. * Terra Natura - a theme park introducing the nature of different continents. * Aqualandia - a water park with rides and fun for everyone. * Mundomare - a marine park with dolphins. * Fonts de Algar - a natural spring where you can bath in rock pools and climb up waterfalls.

Just wanted to say what a fantastic time we had at this apartment. Having previously stayed in this development this apartment was certainly the creme de la creme even including the luxurious bedding, towels and toiletries. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has never experienced this area of Spain. Just make sure you visit Altea which is beautiful and surrounded by many fantastic restaurants.

A deposit of 30% is required on booking. The remaining balance, plus €300 refundable security deposit, is required 8 weeks prior to arrival. The security deposit is returned 2 weeks from departure, less any deductions for breakages or losses.
We provide: bed linen, towels, tea towels, kitchen towels, pool towels & lightweight loungers for use by the pool. Weekly linen change and maid service.
So that you can start enjoying yourselves straight away, and to minimise the annoying cost of buying packs of household & grocery items that you might only use a couple of times, we provide: washing up liquid, laundry wash/rinse, dishwasher tablets, bathroom toiletries.
As well as fresh milk, bread, butter, tea, coffee & sugar, the kitchen is stocked with dry goods, flour, rice, pasta
