Welcome to Casa de Lujo...a luxrious ground floor apartment that sleeps up to 6. Sat besides a nature reserve, it is the ideal place for a relaxing family holiday and positioned 5 mins from the Gary Player designed Golf course, this is a great winter sun getaway too. This spacious air conditioned apartment offers a larger than average south facing terrace complete with a comfortable dining suite all set for laid-back al fresco dining .

High standard furnishings include fully fitted and equipped kitchen, King size master bedroom, linen and towels are provided. Secure car parking is provided directly below the apartment with convenient access from the rear garden.

Alta Entinas features a pretty swimming pool which is always manned by lifeguards. Two tennis courts, a five-a-side football pitch and a childrens play area . The complex is a 10 min walk from the two blue flag beaches and the marina which offers many excellent bars and restaurants to suit all tastes. Here, you will find gift shops, supermarket, pharmacy etc.

The Costa de Almeria region boasts one of the driest and sunniest climates in Euorpe with around 320 days of sunshine per year. This makes it an all year round holiday destination. There are miles of rustic, unspoilt beaches and nature reserves to enjoy in the summer. In the winter, the beautiful scenery of the Alpujarra mountains are the perfect place for walking.

The historic City of Granada, with its fascinating architecture and world famous Alhambra Palace is a 2 hour drive and the Sierra Nevada ski resort is 2.5 hours away.

Sightseers can visit the magnificent grounds of the Alcazaba Fortress, which overlooks the City of Almeria and is a must for photographers. There are pretty gardens here and dramatic views from the mountains through the city and down to the Port sitting on the edge of the Mediterranean Sea. Almeria is an exciting town for shoppers and has many fashionable boutiques.

Surrounding towns that may interest visitors are the commercial hub El Ejido where there is a weekly market held on wednesday mornings, and seaside town of Roquetas de Mar. The nearby desert like landscape of Tabernas is now a popular tourist destination and was the setting for many famous westerns such as The Good The Bad and The Ugly, A Fist Full Of Dollars, Lawrence Of Arabia and Raiders Of The Lost Arc.


The Alta Entinas complex is situated just 400m from the blue flag beaches of Almerimar which continue over 13Km along the coast. A 10 min walk from the apartment is Almerimars attractive marina, which is the second largest in Spain. This is where watersports, boat trips and fishing are on-hand. Surrounding the Marina are the many Tapas Bars and Restaurants to suite all tastes and budgets. Many of which are highly recommended and open through the day. There is a very well stocked supermarket in the town.

The nature reserve situated next to Alta Entinas is a unique place to take a stroll and leads onto the less populated beaches further up the coast. Flamingos can be seen here and Horse riding is available at very reasonable rates.

Amenities close by include Parc Commercial just north of the town which features many shopping outlets, a Cinema, Go-Karting at the Toursit Information Office. For families, a thrilling day out can be had at the Mario Water Park and Aquarium just 25 minutes away in Roquetas de Mar.

Almerimars Gary Player designed, 27 hole golf course is 2 mins drive from the apartment and provides club and buggy hire.

The nearest Airport is Almeria which is approximately 50km away (40 mins by car/taxi).

Flights are available from the following Airlines, Easyjet, Bmibaby, Ryanair, , Iberia, Spanair, Monarch, Air Berlin, JetairFly, TAP Portugal and SAS.

BMIbaby have introduced a NEW flight in 2009 from East Midlands Airport.
East Midlands start in April (Mon - Thurs - Sat)
Prices are very affordable and you should be able to get a return flight for under £100 which includes all taxes and surcharges.

If you are travelling from the UK and cannot fly direct to Almeria from your local Airport, I find it is better to fly to Malaga, Granada or Murcia, and then drive 2 - 2:30 hrs to Almerimar depending on which airport you fly to. The benefit of travelling to Malaga is that it attracts the majority of economy airlines which means it should cost you less. In addition to this you will have a 2hr drive along the stunning coastal route with views over the Mediterranean.

I would advise to hire a car for your trip to Almerimar where there are many companies to choose from that give competetive rates (). This also gives you more scope to travel a bit further afield to see and enjoy whatever it is that will make your holiday complete.

The apartment also boasts an underground garage that is secure and has private access only via the stairs in the rear garden.
