Very charming and spacious 250 year old rustic farmstead, situated in quiet area with splendid sea view. It was fully restored 6 years ago and has very good access. 1,5 mile up the road from the lovely old Arabic white village of Frigiliana and 2 miles from the lively town of Nerja with its beautiful Burriana Beach. The house has 4 bedrooms. You can split the biggest bedroom into two bedrooms. It has a swimming pool (4,50 x 8,20), 3 terraces and a lovely big (4000sqm) garden with tropical trees. The house has good access and offers lots of privacy. In the near environment you can walk, bike, ride horses and there are several restaurants in walking distance. Since the former owner was disabled, the house is 90% wheelchair friendly. The total house has central heating and therefore is also very comfortable during winter time!

It breezes the old Spanish atmosphere and is very luxurious without being too perfect or decadent. It's positioned in the second line from the beach. You can lay on the beach in 15 minutes and at the a same time you can immerse yourself in the peacefulness of the countryside. There is too much to be done. You can go for a walk in the mountains, go to the Sierra Nevada, visit the Alhambra, ride horse, go to the prehistoric caves of Nerja, enjoy a walk in prize winning Frigiliana.

Unique benefits of the property:
The most surprising advantage is the combination the tranquility of a country house on one hand and the comfort of a see side house on the other hand. This is because of the short drive Nerja naer the beach and having at the same time the shepherds who are passing by our house every day. The beautiful sea views in front of you and overwhelming mountain views behind you are also hard to describe. Every single room is very spacious with high ceilings and has a private see sights for you every morning to wake up. You are in an unspoilt historic Spanish Hacienda which also has all the modern equipments for summer and winter. In an around the house there is so much to discover. We know the area so we can arrange almost anything. We do recommend e.g. to make a guided walk with our local guide.

Notes
Prices are for the property per week in Euros for use of the main house
(6 persons). When using the 'cortijito' (guest house), we charge € 150,- extra (up to 8 persons). More then 8 persons in consultation with the owner.
Prices include water, linen, duvets, towels and beachtowels, cots, Wi-Fi. Cleaning and energy costs will be charged separately. Discounts available for long lets, only in low season (from November until March).

All our guests will receive a package of welcome in advance of the stay. At the time of booking, we ask our clients a downpayment. The total amount has to be paid at least six weeks in advance of the stay.

About 15 years ago we, my wife and I, travelled through Spain for the first time. Before I was more interested in France since I was brought up by a Francophile father. My wife had been studying in Malaga and wanted me to see the charme of southern Spain. I was immediately impressed by the unspoilt beauty and the wild nature you can find almost everywhere. After a few holidays driving around all parts of this magnificent country, we were struck by the perfect balanced true Spanish Nerja area.

During our 2-week stay in June-July 2011 we were three generations, aged 3 to 63. At our maximum we comprised 10 persons with 3 rental cars parked in the courtyard for about a week, and the house was comfortable even then. We enjoyed cooking big meals in the kitchen and eating at the table outdoors. My wife was entranced with the atmosphere of the house. We really appreciated the fine view from the house and of course the pool was used a lot, especially by my young granddaughters. A special surprise was the huge herd of goats that passed quietly by on the dark road every evening around 10. After returning home to Oslo we booked a period for the following summer. The caretaker Antonio is a very fluent English speaker and diligantly attended to the maintenance.

Autumn holidays

2 families from Trondheim, Norway, with children from 10 to 17 years spent our autumn holidays at Los Almendros. We have rented vacation houses near the Mediterranean every autumn holidays for many years, and this is the best one so far. We will be back...
