Los Frascorros is a recently modernised traditional farmhouse set on a small almond farm deep in the Spanish countryside. Here you can enjoy the mountain scenery, the interesting bird life, and the complete peace and quiet. Swim or lounge by the large pool. Take a leisurely stroll through the quiet lanes. Barbeque on your private patio in the cool evening mountain air.

Description of the accommodation.
The house contains two apartments for rent. The larger apartment has two twin bedrooms, a large kitchen/diner, a lounge and a shower room. The smaller apartment has one twin bedroom, a kitchen/diner, lounge and a shower room. Both have private patios.
The larger apartment is ideal for 4 people, the smaller sleeps only two. Parties of 6 can be accommodated using both. Note: To ensure privacy, only one party is accommodated at any one time.

There is a large (9mx5m) pool and a sun terrace immediately in front of the property. Because the pool is not fenced it is unsuitable for unsupervised small children.

Location.
Los Frascorros is between the small villages of Taberno and Las Pocicas in the province of Almería. Either village can be reached in a few minutes. There are bars, restaurants, small shops and petrol stations. The larger towns of Albox, Huercal Overa and Velez Rubio are within a half hour drive and contain supermarkets, a better variety of restaurants and have large weekly markets.

The interesting cities of Murcia, Almería and Granada can be visited as day trips.

Los Frascorros is an ideal base for exploring the Spanish countryside. Interesting drives can be taken in all directions. Lakes and forests, wild coastlines and pristine beaches, mountains and deserts are all within short drives.

Many beaches can be reached in an hour with a choice between the family beaches of Mojacar and Garrucha or the naturist beaches of Vera or the quieter, more secluded beaches in the Cabo de Gata national park.

There are many golf courses in the area. We can arrange horse riding, clay pigeon shooting or scuba diving instruction.

For kids, there is a water park or the theme parks based on the locations of spaghetti westerns.

How to get there.
4 airports are within a 2 hour drive. Alicante, Murcia, Almería and Granada airports are all served by the low cost UK airlines. A car is essential. One can be hired at each of the airports.
