The villa is 7 minutes walk from Playa de Pals beach on this unspoilt corner of the Costa Brava. Restaurants, pubs, food shops and a newsagent are also close, but at the villa you will be unaware of these facilities. From the villa there are many walks along coastal paths and through forests. Our favourite month there is September - when the beach is still a good option and the evenings develop that special golden light that has lured artists here through the years. Las Piñas is extremely well equipped and personally managed by its owners to a very high standard. The villa has its own small private hedged gardens front and back, with palm & pine trees, shrubs & flowers. The garden is illuminated at night. There is a small exit through the hedge to spacious, superbly landscaped lawns with further trees and exotic flowering shrubs. The shared large adult’s pool (40 ft) and children’s pool both get minimal use. You will find the villa clean and bright, comfortable and very well equipped. All rooms have wide windows opening to good views. There are built-in wardrobes, ceiling fans & black-out blinds in all bedrooms. Optional insect screens on all windows in the house. Master bedroom suite is air-conditioned though many guests say it is not necessary. Quality bed linen, towels and maid service is supplied weekly. If you wish, owner or their assistant will be on hand for your arrival and are available at all times. Parking is offered a few feet from the front door and also in an allocated space within the development. The modern built in kitchen is very well equipped and both bathrooms are also in good taste with bright lighting. The villa is 7 minutes walk from the southern end of the long beach at Playa de Pals, or walk a few minutes more to two hidden swimming coves. Though the villa is quietly placed, you can walk easily to Pals Golf Course, Restaurants, Pubs, Shops, Tennis Courts and a Doctor. A quick drive takes you to medieval Pals town and on to Begur hill town, or to fishing villages like Sa Reira, Tamariu and LlaFranc. All about are sandy bays, green and gold countryside and ancient villages. Good restaurants abound. This is great walking country and you can begin from the front door - or drive into the foot hills of the Pyreenes and begin there. Stepping out from the villa are walking trails through forests and along cliff paths. _____________________________________________________________________ Getting to our villa: Girona / Gerona airport is under one hours drive . Barcelona airport is under two hours drive. Perpignan airport in France is an hour and a half drive. Easyjet, Ryanair, Iberia, BA, & charter flights fly in from all main UK & European airports. Please contact owners for info on driving from your home. A Shuttle Service is available from Gerona Airport to front door of villa. We can also arrange your rental car, taxi or train/bus schedule from airports to villa.
