This 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment is a ground floor apartment at the La Orquidea Holiday Resort with four swimming pools, a small complex in the hills of Calahonda.

Recently refurbished, the apartment is ideal for two, but can sleep an extra two on the sofa bed in the lounge.

During the summer school holidays, this is a lively family resort but outside of July and August La Orquidea reverts to a tranquil oasis to stay for a week or several of warm Costa del Sol sunshine.

We're also right in the middle of the "Costa del Golf", with four superb golf courses within 5 minutes drive - Miraflores, Cabopino, La Cala and Calanova, plus our favourite - La Siesta, a beautiful 9-hole course, just minutes walk down the hill.

Easy places to visit from Orquidea are the historic town of Ronda and fashionable Marbella and Puerto Banus to people watch and admire the wonderful yachts.

On our doorstep are Puerto Cabopino a lovely port and safe beach and La Cala - originally a fishing village which still has a Spanish family feel.

The lounge/dining room has 2 sofas, one of which converts to a fairly large sofa-bed. Patio doors open on to the terrace complete with sun loungers, table and chairs - perfect to sunbathe, or enjoy a glass of sangria and have lunch whilst admiring the view to the Mediterranean.

The bedroom has a double bed and fitted wardrobes and an en suite bathroom. A safe is available for rent to keep your valuables secure.

The kitchen has everything you'll need - hob, oven, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine, iron and ironing board. There is also a good selection of cooking utensils as well as crockery for 4 people.

Satellite TV provides programmes in English, Spanish and German.
