Jazmines is situated in La Reserva de Altea Hills, between the villages of Altea and Calpe (both 4 kilometres away). Altea is a beautiful mixture of old and new. It has retained much of its original Spanish charm and character. The blue and white domed church of La Virgin de la Consuelo, in the heart of the old town, is one of the symbolic images of the Costa Blanca. The old town is very special with its steep and narrow cobble-stoned streets and squares and wonderful craft shops, galleries, bars and restaurants. You can walk down from the old town to Alteas beach area, with its restaurants and bars, ranged along a pleasant palm-lined esplanade, and good water sports facilities. Calpe is a place where modern buildings and wide avenues harmonize with an ancient fishing village and the famous Costa Blanca landmark of the Penon de Ifach, the huge rock that rears up from the sea. Calpe has plenty of shops, bars and restaurants, sandy beaches and excellent water sports facilities.
