2 bedroom 2 bathroom new penthouse apartment sleeps up to 6. It has a patio terrace with outdoor dining , and large roof terrace. Both bedrooms have fitted wardrobes, master bedroom has ensuite bathroom with bath, bidet and shower. The second bathroom has a shower. The modern fully fitted kitchen includes fridge-freezer, washing machine and dishwasher, microwave. Dining table and chairs, sofa (not a sofabed but can be slept on.) and 2 floor mattresses available. Full air-conditioning. TV and DVD. Outdoor furniture – 4 sunbeds, outdoor lounge suite, 2 dining tables and chairs with parasol.
Apartment is on top floor (3rd) and there is a lift as well as a staircase. There is a private parking space.
The apartment is situated 10 minutes drive to the south of Peniscola. The road ends here and you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the national park which is one of the most unspoilt nature reserves in the area with some unique wildlife, which attracts bird watchers and nature lovers.
There is a swimming pool and childrens play pool and playground area. Within a hundred metres are a couple of shops and restaurants and tennis courts and play areas and another swimming pool for residents use.
The apartment offers the luxury of a very spacious private roof terrace with spectacular views of the castle and sea where you can relax in the sun or under the covered pergola . It also has a lower patio where you can dine al fresco with the sea as a backdrop.
Just 10 minutes walk a little cove where you can sunbathe or snorkel and scuba dive.
About the town
The picturesque old town of Peniscola is a former fishing village perched on a rock separated from the mainland by a narrow strip of land and topped by a 13th c fortress. Go back in time and wander along its narrow cobbled medieval streets and alleyways up to the castle which dominates the rock and look down at the sandy beaches on both sides below. The long wide north beach is 5 kms long and is perfect for sunbathing, swimming or playing beach gently sloping shallow waters are ideal for children and the beach is watched over by life guards.
The town has a good selection of bars and restaurants and this is a great place to try out some of the local fish dishes for which the area is famous.
It is a Spanish and family orientated town and is a popular destination for Spanish holidaymakers in particular.
Activities
Peniscola’s particular geographical location makes it the perfect place to practise all kinds of sports: cycling, mountain biking, rambling, walking, sailing, windsurfing, water skiing, fishing, beach volleyball, beach football, golf.
In the winter you can drive up to Valdinares in the mountains which is a popular ski resort. All equipment is available for hire.
