This is a small two-storey cottage with french doors opening onto 2 terraces with stunning views. Hiking and birdwatching are on your doorstep and fishing in the River Ebro is a short drive away. Yoga and massage therapy are available and complete seclusion is yours. There are views across the natural park to the distant Mediterranean, and two sets of french doors open from the lounge onto terraces front and rear, with a barbecue and a walled herb garden with outdoor dining area. Downstairs there is a cosy living room with wood burning stove, kitchen, small dining area and comfortable seating. The bathroom is on the ground floor, and the cottage is built into the hillside olive groves, with steps from the parking site to the cottage and its garden. The cottage has around ten acres of olive terraces - almonds, olives, figs, carobs - surrounded by wilderness, where rosemary and many other herbs grow in profusion.

Notes
This is a get-away-from-it-all retreat, environmentally friendly, with water from our rainwater storage and power from our solar system. So ... there is no TV and no computer (but there is very good cellphone reception and internet access via WIFI), and there are no electrical appliances, no washing machine, etc. Instead there is the opportunity to experience how a remote cottage can operate on solar power and keep you warm, cosy and content by natural, sustainable methods.

We provide yoga and massage therapy upon request, and we also offer yoga camping holidays at our organic olive farm, Casa de Carrasco, in the valley below. At the farm, you can choose your own camp spot among the olive groves and enjoy a daily yoga session tailored to your needs. Just email us for details.

We can arrange fishing on the River Ebro with an expert guide. Birdwatchers will be thrilled by the eagles that soar above the cottage and by sightings of the distinctive hoopoe.

YOU WILL NEED A HIGH CLEARANCE VEHICLE FOR DRIVING TO THE COTTAGE which is on a rough, unsurfaced scenic mountain road. There are hire car companies at all the airports - we suggest Avis, who offer a number of high clearance vehicles such as the Fiat Dobla. Or if you prefer, we can offer you the loan of our own high-clearance vehicle, for driving on the rough mountain road to the finca only. When you book your holiday, we will be happy to provide you with maps and directions, and a local resident to accompany you to the cottage on arrival (free of charge). We also provide a taxi service from the airport and a groceries-in-advance service, if needed.

For those who like a daily swim, there is a public swimming pool (with gorgeous views)in the nearest village of Rasquera - the pool is open from May to September.

Notes
We ask for a 20% deposit on booking, and the full payment 8 weeks before the holiday. Payment can be made into our English, Spanish or USA bank accounts, and we also accept payment via PayPal.

The cottage is cleaned weekly (at no charge to you), and all linen and towels (including beach towels) are provided free of charge.
