Services
Casa Teudora is a recently renovated rural house, with part of the house dating centuries back. It is situated in the province of Tarragona with the beach only 20 minutes drive away. Also short drives away you find mountains, wine districts, many historical sites of Catalonia, the towns of Reus and Tarragona. Furthermore, you can walk to the nearby village, where you find shops and several restaurants.
The house itself is beautifully decorated with sense for the rustic details, combining the modern style with the history of the house. From the garden you enter the lower floor into the dining room. From the dining room there is access to the modern kitchen and four double rooms. Additionally, there are two fully equipped bathrooms on this floor.
On the upper floor, you find three bedrooms more and two bathrooms. There is a big living room with TV, another kitchen and a big balcony with view over the garden and the landscape, dominated by fruit trees and olive plantings, and with the mountains in the distance.
Outside, the swimming pool is located in centre of the garden. There are terraces at both ends of the swimming pool and many sun beds as well. There are many plants and small trees for decoration.
On the side of the swimming pool, there is a very big hall with a long dining table, a small kitchen, sofa corner and chimney. The other end is dedicated to games. There is a table tennis, a table football as well as billiards. You can dine here or by the swimming pool depending of how hot it is.
As the house is situated only 1 km. from the village, you can easily get there by foot, if you prefer to leave the car one day. By a sack of oranges and press your juice in the morning, or enjoy a glass of the local cava in the evening.
The house is a perfect point of departure for exploring the area. In Reus you find the newly opened Gaudi museum, which is great for kids as well. In the town of Tarragona you find the remaining of the Roman time, where Tarragona actually was the capitol of the Spanish part of the Roman empire.
In Cambrils you find the typical beach resort with a long, sandy beach and lots of restaurants and bars.
If you are wine interested, you find the Priorat wine district by driving south and the Penedés wine district by driving north. For the kids, a good excursion is bicycling on former railroads and of course the amusement park Port Aventura. Barcelona is about 1½ hour by motorway.
