The Penthouse

Luxury Los Olivos penthouse apartment set out over 2 floors and located at the centre of the resort close to the tennis centre. It boasts magnificent views to the Mar Menor and overlooks the beautifully tended pool and landscaped gardens. On the main terrace you find a full outdoor dining suite, sunloungers and a gas BBQ. The roof-top terrace ensures winter sun. The flat is located close to the center of the first row of Los Olivos apartments.

Indoors you will find a comfortable lounge with 42" flat screen TV (Sky), wireless internet, Blu-ray/DVD player and stereo. The well equipped kitchen has a large oven, hob, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave. All bedrooms and bathrooms are of exceptionally high quality with furnishings to match.

Los Olivos
The Los Olivos apartments are within easy walking distance of nearly all the major facilities including a wide range of restaurants and bars. Considered by many to be the most popular location on site the apartments are ideal for families with children and offer 3 swimming pools: 2 outdoors and 1 indoor with Jacuzzi for cooler weather.

Tennis
La Manga Club could easily be defined as the ultimate tennis resort in Spain. Located at the very heart of La Manga Club resort, the internationally renowned Tennis Centre is one of Europes finest outdoor facilities and is the focal point for many of the resorts sporting activities. The wonderful climate and floodlit courts mean that you can enjoy a match all year round, day or night. There are 28 tennis courts to choose from, including 20 clay courts, four hard courts and four AstroTurf courts, as well as two paddle tennis courts and a squash court.

Academies
During the School holidays, professional coaching is given to children from 3 to 16 in Football, Rugby and Cricket. It is best to book in advance to secure a place. These academies are excellent for youngsters to indulge their passions and meet like minded boys/girls. Approx cost of these academies are from 150-200 Euros (correct as of Aug 2009) per child. Dance academies for girls and boys are also offered within the club.

Junior Club
The Junior Club offers excellent facilities and fun activities for children aged three months to 12 years. It is located 2 mins walk from Los Olivos and is open 9 am to 6 pm.

Getting there
La Manga Club is located in south-east Spain, in the region of Murcia, 20 minutes from Murcia (San Javier) Airport and around one hour from Alicante (El Altet) Airport. New motorways make the commute fast and easy.


Car hire
The large car hire companies Hertz, Europcar, Avis, Sixt, Budget etc. are all available at Murcia and Alicante airports. However, the best deals are usually found with the more local companies: Goldcar, Solmar and Centaur. It is best to book in advance.

La Manga Club Surroundings
Los Belones is the nearest village 5 mins drive away with lots of restaurants and shops. Cabo de Palos, a lovely fishing village with excellent selection waterfront seafood restaurants is a 10 minute drive. On a Sunday morning there is a market where you will find clothes, leather goods and fresh local produce.

There are many safe beaches around the shallow enclosed Mar Menor within an easy car ride. The resorts around the Mar Menor offer plenty of beaches and excellent water sports facilities.

La Manga is surrounded by a National Park and the nature reserve beaches of Calblanque, which are unspoilt and spectacular.

The Costa Calida/Murcia region
The nearest city is historic Cartagena (20 mins drive) where you will find the old port, restaurants and excellent shopping. Cartagena is an ancient port which predates the Roman period. You can visit the remains of a Roman theatre and several museums and galleries. One of the prettiest areas in the city is its port, where you can find the Modernist Town Hall, several monuments, such as the one dedicated to the Heroes of Cavite and Santiago de Cuba and the first submarine in the world ever to be launched.

The next stop after Cartagena is Mazarron, whose magnificent bay can be admired from the main road. The town meets the sea at the tourist centre where there are more than 35km of beaches. The most important monument is the Castle of Los Velez.

Inland 45 minutes from La Manga Club is the beautiful regional capital Murcia. Although a bustling city, there is a beautiful old town with shaded squares, outdoor cafes, tapas bars and restaurants. The most important monument in the old town is the Cathedral. Other outstanding monuments include the Episcopal Palace, the Casino, several churches and impressive examples of 19th century architecture.

Interesting museums are the Archaeological Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts and the Museum of La Huerta.

There is a water park at Torrevieja, approximately 40 minutes (60 kilometres) from the resort. It is open from June to September between the hours of 11;00am and 7:00pm. Address: Aquopolis Finca de la Hoya Grande, 03180 Torrevieja.

Changeover day only on Saturdays in the high-season, otherwise can be flexible depending on other bookings.
