GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION
La Torreta is located just outside the Corbera village, on a hill side, in the Ribera Baixa. It is at 20'South Valencia, a really beautiful city, and a quarter of an hour away from fine sandy beaches and The Saler Golf.
The scenary is spectacular (50 m above the plain). First, you see the orange trees, the village and the medieval castle of Corbera. Then, more orange trees, rice fields and finally the Mediterranean Sea.
Looking South-East, you get the mountain covered with pine trees. Behind the house, pine trees, olive trees, and local trees called garrofers (carob trees).
WEATHER
The climate is delightfull all year round. Winters are mild, and summers are not too hot. This is due to la Torreta's great location, close to both the sea and the mountain.
It's relaxing to rest for hours on the terrace, with the fresh air gently caressing your face ! What a privilege to enjoy a generous sun in the middle of the winter ! The Nothern cold and humid winter is quickly forgotten here ...

BEACHES
Here is the kingdom of great fine sandy beaches, stretching to the horizon. Water is quiet, warm and cristal-clear.
Your choice is : beaches with amenities, half-wild beaches with dunes of high ecological value, beaches for naturism, or beaches with windsurf and scuba diving facilities.
The beaches are controlled and certified (ISO 14.001) by environmental management. Some of the beaches are recognized as the best in Europe.

Our villa is located on the hill side, with magnificent scenery. It has studio apartment located in the turret and a garden-floor apartment, separate from the main house for our visitors.

We do offer restoration service, and we can arrange a candlelit dinner for exemple. You can also order a paella for lunch, cooked on site (under your eyes if you wish).

GANDIA and JÁTIVA (at 20' by car from the house)
Gandia is a harbour city of 70,000 people, an hours drive from Valencia, and half an hour from La Torreta. You can visit the Saint-Duke palace, former palace of the Borgia family, and the Holy Mary church, magnificent piece of gothic architecture (XIIIth c.).
JÁTIVA
The Jàtiva castle overlooks in a strategic manner the South entrances of Valencia. Built by the Romans (Sætabis Augusta), the place become the Medina Chateba during the five centuries of Islam brilliant domination. The king of Aragon, catalan Jake Ist (Jaume I) conquered the city in 1244. He then enlarged the castle, and added great walls, secured by thirty towers, that still dominate the landscape today. During more than three centuries (1347-1707), Xàtiva was as important as Valencia, the capital city of the "Kingdom of Valencia".
You may visit the churches of Saint Felix, Saint Francis, Saint Peter, the Beneficiència, and the Col·legiata, and the museum of Almodí.
