Cortijo Sophia is a beautifully renovated 100 year old farmhouse. It is light and airy, and set in a pristine valley surrounded by olive groves and oak trees. It has recently undergone extensive refurbishment including complete interior decoration and the addition of a large outside terrace and barbeque area. The pool and sundeck area are just perfect for a relaxing day in the sun.

Cortijo Sophia is nestled into the side of a hill on a privately owned, olive farm. It enjoys seclusion, tranquillity and uninterrupted views over olive groves to the mountains beyond, making it the perfect Andalucían getaway.

Cortijo Sophia is situated just 5km from Montefrio, voted the prettiest village in the western reaches of Granada Province and enjoying an impressive setting at the foot of the Sierra de la Parrapanda. It's white-washed houses with their tiled roofs sit gracefully on two hills which appear like small islands amid a sea of olive groves.

Whilst Cortijo Sophia is completely secluded, the owners (Steve & Katrina) occupy a nearby farmhouse, should you need any help or advice about the area. The house is only a 35 minute drive from Granada, home to the famous "Alhambra Palace". The stunning Sierra Nevada mountains with their pretty white villages are also only a short drive away.

The nearby village of Montefrio offers a choice of many friendly tapas bars, restaurants, shops and supermarkets. One of the best restaurants in the area is only 1k away from the house and is perfect for an evening out.
