Description
The villa is set in the beautiful Valldigna Valley, with stunning mountain scenery. 20 km from Gandia with its glorious sandy beach.
A 4-bedroom villa set amongst orange groves, but within a short walk to the local village, La Barraca de Aguas Vivas (the Water of Life), with a baker, hairdresser, doctor, chemist, spar and 3 restaurants. The accommodation is comfortable and clean. It is our aim to provide a good facility at excellent value and we think we do that. A Welcome Pack is included.
Accommodation
The accommodation comprises of one twin bedroom and three double bedrooms (1 doublehas on suite). A lounge/diner with log burner stove, kitchen that is well equipped with microwave and fridge-freezer and 1 bathroom, air conditioning in all rooms. Separate covered terrace. A large fully filtered 42ft x 26ft pool, with large sun terrace around pool. Gas B-B-Q. Under-build with table tennis and darts. The grounds are fenced, and there is a large parking area.
The villa is situated in a valley of orange groves, between the market towns of Tavernes and Alzira, both with all kinds of shops. Within a 15-minute drive you are in the beach resorts of Tavernes Playa and Xeraco, Gandia beach reputedly the best in Europe and winner of the Blue Flag award year after year is a 25-minute drive away.
The historic town of Xativa with its magnificent Castle, old quarters and its cosmopolitan new town with bars, shops and restaurants is a short drive away.
The railway stations at Alzira and Tavernes with trains to Valencia (approx 4 euros return) with connections to all areas of Spain.
The l’Oceanografic and Science Museum in Valencia are well worth visiting. Benidorm with the Terra Mitica Theme Park are some of the attractions within an hours drive away.
NEW GOLF COURSE
New Championship Golf Course at La Galiana - 5 mins from the villa, affordable and open to the public
Have you ever fancied playing golf in the sun but been put off by courses being restricted to club members or only available at the most inconvenient times? Now there is a new championship course that promises golf foreveryone, every day of the year: La Galiana (.), near Valencia, which opened on 1 February 2011.
There will be no members at La Galiana. Instead, anyone can book green fees for the 18-hole, par 72 course, starting from 45 euros (£39). There will also be annual passes available from 2250 euros (£1943) per person, to encourage local residents to take up the sport and make use of the facilities all year round.
Those new to golf can book individual or group classes from 25 euros (£21) for half an hour, or two-month intensive courses from 200 euros (£173). La Galiana also offers special packages for corporate groups and a Golf Clinic which can be booked by groups of friends or families wanting to spend a fun day playing golf.
La Galiana enjoys a spectacular setting in a valley surrounded by pine and orange groves, isolated from residential areas. More than 5000 local species of plants and trees have been used for the landscaping, and water consumption will be minimised through a sophisticated rainwater collection and drainage system.
A great opportunity for any lover of golf to play in the sun surrounded by stunning scenery.
The Oliva Nova Golf Course is about a 35 minute drive away. It has a 18 hole par 72 course, practice greens and driving range. A new golf course locally is due to be completed by autumn 2010.
For those looking for something relaxing, interesting and different this is the perfect location to be, placed right in the middle of area of outstanding natural beauty, history and stunning beaches. Hill walking and bird watching at the Parc Natural de l’Albufera, a large lake surrounded by paddy fields is about a 45-minute drive away. A new Golf Course, La Caliana opened 1 February 2001 is just a few minutes drive up the road.
Travel arrangements
Alicante airport is about 90 minutes drive away and Valencia airport about 60 minutes away. If need be, we will meet you at Exit 59 or 60 of the A7 motorway.
Change over day is normally Saturday.
Take over time 2 p.m. and vacated 10 a.m. on day of departure. The villa is cleaned on arrival all gas, electric, towels and linen supplied (changed weekly), but not beach towels.
Payment
Non refundable Booking deposit of 10% per week required at time of booking and balance of payment 6 weeks before arrival.
All bookings are subject to an additional full/part refundable damage waiver payment of 100 euros. Required when paying the booking balance.
