Mas “Mauri” is a beautiful renovated 17th century “masia”, which provides comfortable accomodation for 15/16 persons. Because of many (16 up to now) verified and trusted reviews, TRIPADVISOR has given "Mas Mauri" his EXCELLENCE badge.
We offer two type of rentals: "FAMILY HOLIDAYS" (fron midle June to midle September), and "PARTY GOLFERS HOLIDAYS" (rest of the year). Our offering is quite different from one to the other.
We also offer beautiful "Mas Mauri" for wedings or other celebrations; we have good experience with it and supply any kind of services.
Situated just outside the charming village of Regencós has the most fantastic views towards the Gavarres hills and the Pyrenean Mountains.
Staying at this “masia” will make your holiday a memorable one, coming in summer or in winter.
Made of traditional rock-stones, this house will keep you cool during the warm catalan summers and warm during the winter. It faces towards the South with sun all day long.
It has a large garden overlooking the valley towards the hills with a roofed dining area with built-in BBQ, a fantastic pool (6x12 m) with springboard surrounded by terraces as well as a sauna with shower to be used on request.
The main floor consists of a well equipped kitchen, pantry with washingmachine and dryer, a diningroom with built-in BBQ , guest toilet, big hall, 2 livingrooms, a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, very suitable should you come with older people.
On the first floor it offers 6 double bedrooms all with en-suite bathroom, 2 more livingrooms -with a pool billiard one of them- and a terrace- solarium.
This property offers a perfect place in summer, as well as during the rest of the year, it has central heating and several fire places.
There is a private roofed parking area for seven cars.
"Mas Mauri” is very suitable for various families, large groups of friends or “golf parties”. When at "Mas Mauri" you will play the best golf courses and have the very best green fee prices; as an average you will pay only 50 € per green fee.
The house provides a maintenance man who will take care of garden, pool and vegetable garden and can provide you with fresh vegetables and eggs.
Other services like breakfast, special dinners, maidservice and/or babysitting can be offered on request. Most of this services and some others are included on "PARTY GOLFERS HOLIDAYS" season.
The surrounding of the property consists of fields and pine and cork tree forests with sufficient possibilities for walking and cycling. The village is at approx. 800 m distance and provides a very good restaurant.
Regencós is situated between the medieval village of Pals and traditional Begur, about 4 km from all the famous Begur beaches like Sa Riera, Sa Tuna, Aigua Blava etc. and about 7 km from the Pals Playa beach and the Palafrugell beaches like Llafranc, Tamariu and Calella.
The town of Palafrugell at a 3 km drive away and provides all necessary shopping facilities, several supermarkets, restaurants and also has a First Aid Centre (CAP).
Lots of restaurants can be found within a 5 min drive.
The Pyrenean Mountains are about a 1,5 hours drive and there you will find several ski resorts in winter and beautiful hiking possibilities in summer.
If you are a golf lover, this part of the Costa Brava is a great area for golfers.4 beatiful courses (18 holes) within 10 min drive and 6 more within 25/40 min drive.
Ramón -the proprietor- is a founder-member of "Empordá Golf Club" and "Playa de Pals Golf Club", this fact gives him the best connections to all golf courses in the area and the very best green fee prices: "Empordá Golf Club" *10 min drive *2 courses of 18 holes each; "Playa de Pals Golf" *10 min drive *18 holes; "Serres de Pals Golf" *10 min drive *18 holes; "Golf d'Aro-Mas Nou" *20 min drive *18 holes; "Costa Brava Golf Club" *20 min drive *27 holes; "Catalunya PGA Golf" *35 min drive *2 courses 18 holes each; etc. etc.
Having done a lot of golf trips in the past,we know quite well what "party golfers" like: good breakfast buffet; play top golf at nearby courses with lunch at the club house; sauna and shower or pool when back home, and then free disposal of beer, wine or other drinks close to a fireplace when in winter. The less they like: doing beds and putting the house in order. Because of that: breakfast buffet, daily maid service and free disposal of drinks are included in the price of the house for golfers. Guests are only asked to write down on a blackboard the drinks taken and we shall charge them on an only cost basis.
Catalan food merits some words; considered nowadays one of best cooking in the world, local creator chefs like Ferrán Adriá and Joan Roca (3 Michelin stars each) have created a fantastic school followed by many restaurants in the area; we shall arrange for our guests to visit some of them for dinner, but nobody in Spain would expect a good dinner without a good wine, so "Mas Mauri" will provide an small bus with a driver -when needed for drinkers- to take you to restaurant and drop you home later completely safe. Every day at breakfast time you will have the opportunity to choose from the different restaurant menus shown, the right place for dinner. This facility is offered to our guests as a courtesy with no charge at all.

Our family reunion at "Mas Mauri" was absolutely perfect, thanks to our host Ramon, his wondeful family and staff, and his exceptionaly lovely home. You will not find a more beautiful, welcoming and memorable place to stay in the Costa Brava!
The house itself is stunning. We expected a charming old stone home to have its quirks, as they often do, but this house has been thoroughly, thoughtfully and tastefully renovated all the way from the plumbing to the decor. It offers all the modern comforts and luxuries you could need while retaining the enchanting caracter of an historic rural "masia". It exceeded all reasonable expectations, and I can't think of a single thing I'd change. I only wish I'd spent more time inside! It is so conveniently located to the most beautiful stretch of the Costa Brava, we spent most of our time exploring the local towns and beaches.
When we were at the house, we were mostly autdoors enjoying the gorgeous pool and grounds. There was plenty of room for the kids to swim and play, and the adults loved the outdoor dining table where we relaxed, ate and drank for many hours, on end -a truly authentic Spanish vacation!
But the main reason "Mas Mauri" is so special is the wonderful people who took care of us during our stay. Our host Ramon shows the same thoughtful attention to his guests as he does to his home. He went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed, from recommendations for local activities & restaurants, to fresh produce and eggs from his garden and eveything in between. He and his staff genuinely to whatever they can to make your visit special -and if Ramon offers to cook for you, take him up on it! There are few things more enjoyable than having a "paella" made for you by poolside!
I can't say enough good things about our week at "Mas Mauri", and we are hoping to return for another visit soon!

Susan me ha pedido que traduzca sus impresiones para el blog de "Mas Mauri" pero no me atrevo a hacerlo ya que Ud. lo hara con mucho mas talento que yo. Sin embargo,quiero añadir mis comentarios sobre unas vacaciones que han sido inolvidables para todos nosotros.
Hace ocho años comenzamos a reunirnos anualmente, mis hijos con sus esposos y los chiquillos, para disfrutar de las vacaciones todos juntos. Mi hijo desde New York,Teresa desde Mexico y Susan desde California. Hemos gozado siempre de unas reuniones muy lindas pero todos estamos de acuerdo que, sin ninguna duda, los dias en "Mas Mauri" y la Costa Brava no tienen rival. No hemos dejado de comentarlo cada vez que nos hablamos por telefono o por e-mail. Claro está, el lugar es precioso, la casa bellísima y cómoda, y lo que más se destaca es la amabilidad y las atenciones de su parte para que lo disfrutáramos al máximo, y así ha sido. Esperamos poder repetirlo - mi nieta dice que quiere celebrar su boda en "Mas Mauri" - ¡Ojalá podamos regresar antes de eso!
Tambien le damos las gracias al Equipo Español de Futbol por haber ganado el Mundial. Ya se puede imaginar las lagrimas de alegría y los cornetazos que mi familia añadieron a la celebracion. Fue el toque final perfecto a unas vacaciones inolvidables.

Adorables vacantes a « Mas Mauri ». Très belle maison avec tout confort et une tranquillité étonnante étant placé au cœur de la Costa Brava.

Se desiderate una vacanza in una bellissima Masia nelle campagne della Costa Brava non potete sbagliarvi. "Mas Mauri", la sistemazione che cercate, un casale del 1600 ristrutturato meravigliosamente, tanti spazi e tante camere, un giardino bellissimo e una piscina adeguata. Noi eravamo un grande gruppo di circa 20 persone e non potevamo sperare di meglio! Il proprietario, Ramon, una persona deliziosa che vi affasciner coi suoi racconti di terra e di mare, vi cuciner: una splendida paella e un asado indimenticabile, provate per credere... viva Ramon, viva "Mas Mauri"!!! We stayed there for three days, a group of 14 women, and we all agree that the experience was very positive.
The house is located in a gorgeous town surrounded by nature, very centric and near by the beach. The rooms were very comfortable, tidy, well decorated and with a private bathroom.
The owner it's very polite and friendly, and the service in general it's excellent.
Great option to stay either with family or friends in a beautiful and peaceful environment.

Our family holiday at "Mas Mauri" was perfect, thanks to Ramon and his staff. It is an enchanting beautiful, spacious villa , so welcoming & relaxing. We spent most of our days outside by the fantastic swimming pool and decking. Then the evening's having dinner under the stone archway, eating and drinking until the early hours. Ramon cooked us the most perfect lobster Paella, and Roberto the gardener cooked us a traditional Bolivian beef dish. Both meals were heaven on earth, do not miss out on them. Getting up in the morning and going next door to collect fresh eggs & organic produce was a delighful bonus.
In our opinion the Costa Brava is the most perfect part of Spain & Mas Mauri is the most perfect part of the Costa Brava. We intend to go back as soon we can.

My husband and I had been in contact with Ramon and his daughter for almost a year to plan an event at their property. We received very good service during this period and it got even better during the long-weekend of the event, when we were staying at Mas Mauri with our most intimate family members, which were flying in from different parts of the world.
Mas Mauri is really a hidden gem in the Costa Brava and exceeded our expectations in every way. Being that this event was very special for us, it was important that the service and details were perfect and we were not at all disappointed. The property from the outside holds characteristics of “Masias” from its period in Catalunya, but the owners have taken special pride in restoring original details of the home, incorporating special antiques and at the same time complimenting them with modern amenities (Entertainment system, easy wi-fi access, electrical appliances, water filter, memory foam pillows and rain and message shower heads).
From the minute our family stepped foot on the property they were in awe of all the spaces, details and charm included. Our family consisted in everyone from a young teenager to our grandmother and we all found corners of the house to discover, explore and relax in; of course, the main attractions being the pool and table soccer area. Every morning we were delivered a tasty European-style breakfast with variety for all and during the day we had the liberty to scavenge through the organic for veggies and fresh eggs.
The most unique characteristic of the property is its laid-back energy. I believe Ramon and Roberto create a space that welcomes people who want to relax, unwind and enjoy life. On a last note, the property location is ideal; right between Begur and Pals, you have the option of going to the beach, strolling through Begur’s picturesque town center or Pals Romanic history.
