A rather unique romantic apartment in the heart of the characterful, pedestrianised old town of Alicante. Cova Santa Cruz offers the chance to enjoy all the benefits of a city holiday, shops, restaurants, nightlife, museums, galleries while staying in a village style setting only a few minutes walk from the beach. The apartment itself is the ground floor of a traditional old townhouse and has its own front door opening onto the street where you can sit out to eat and experience Santa Cruz life. Inside you will find everything you will need for a relaxing holiday including wi fi, games, books, and music. The bedroom is a cave in the rock of the mountain of the Santa Barbara castle and is naturally cool in summer and warm in winter. Alicante city is the perfect place for those looking to combine an authentic Spanish experience with a beach holiday. Apart from the town beach, there are many others easily reached on the tram.

Notes
Bedroom: Double bed and optional single. A cave in the rock and probably the original dwelling on the site. It has a natural temperature of around 18/19ºC on the coldest nights and 24ºC on the hottest days of summer and has a very special feel about it.
Bathroom: Stylishly designed with modern double shower unit for a quality shower experience. Gel, shampoo, soap and bathroom towels provided.
Kitchen: The kitchen area has a fridge, two ring hob, kettle and is equipped to allow cooking and dining for 4 people. Basic cooking ingredients and a welcome pack are provided
Living Room: With a sofa and a TV, which can also be used in the cave.
Terrace: The terrace is not private, it is the pedestrian street outside the apartment

The Cave, el barrio

lovely little apartment with quirky bedroom located in a cave. Really enjoyed our stay, the area is very lively with plenty of local bars. The owner is great, really friendly and accommodating. We'll definitely be back.

Great little cave apartment in the heart of the Old Town

3 of us stayed in the cave which was in a great location in the Old Town. Everything was within walking distance including restaurants, bars and the beach. The bedroom of the cave had a very romantic feel to it - probably suited more to a couple than 3 single girls!! The only downside was that there was no terrace or patio area but many of the local people just sit out on the streets in the evenings. I would certainly recommend this property to anyone who wanted to experience the true Spanish side of Alicante.

Good location, charming place, not for people with asthma

The appartment has a great location in the old centre of Alicante and is very charming and has all the basic facilities needed for a vacation home. Close to restaurents and 10 min to the beach or 3 min walk to a tram stop which can take you to other great beaches along Coata Blanca. Only minus for the appartment is that it is very moist hence not ideal for people with asthma and it smells a bit musty.

Wonderful Break

although there was building work every morning outside the apartment, this was no real problem, the weather was exceptional and the accomodation was very comfortable and cool. We will definately be recommding it to all our friends. The marina area was fantastic especially early evening. Very enjoyable couple of days
