CASA LA NARANJERA within walking distance of Canillas de Albaida and Cómpeta:
Beautiful, spacious, modern, detached, luxurious country villa for a maximum of eight people in the Axarquía region with magnificent views to the surrounding mountains, countryside and the Mediterranean.
Mature garden, terraces, private pool. Quiet and private location without passing traffic, near the national park Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara y Alhama (walking, cycling, horse driving, bird watching etc.). The park is a natural boundary between the Málaga and Granada region.
The villa is at the end of a concrete road with no passing traffic – it is very peaceful and private. Unlike many villas in this area there is no dirt track. A short steep (concrete) part goes down to the villa, at the end of a cul-de-sac. Situated half way between the beautiful white villages Canillas de Albaida and Cómpeta both villages are easily reached.
This holiday home is recently totally renovated and modernized.

We renovated and decorated our house with love and care. We only want to let the house to people who are willing to treat our property with respect. By booking with us you express that willingness and you will behave accordingly.

You will find garden furniture and sun beds. There is a nice brick built BBQ area.
The tiled private pool measures 7 by 3 metres (careful with children!) with a beautiful outdoor shower. The pool is NOT fenced. Usable from about late April to mid October.
The mature garden is green all year round because of the irrigation system. You will find a mandarine and a lemon tree, an orange tree, a fig tree and even a 200 years old olive tree. The surrounding plots are full of trees including orange, avocado, olive trees. Irresistible!
The plot is all fenced and gated at the entrance. There is parking space for two cars.
Because of the pool the villa is less suitable for families with young children.
VILLAGE/TOWN:
This holiday house is near Canillas de Albaida and Cómpeta.
Canillas de Albaida is a 10 minutes walk. The village, with a population of approximately 700, is about 580 metres above sea level on the slopes of the Sierra de Tejeda and Almijara mountains. There are some little supermarkets, a few bars and restaurants.
Canillas de Albaida is 17 kilometers from the Mediterranean coast of the Costa del Sol (beach, aqua park, golf), about one hour drive from Málaga Airport. There is a bus connection from Canillas de Albaida and Cómpeta to the beach and Malaga several times a day.
The villa is 2 kilometers from Cómpeta, a more touristic place with lots of shops, restaurants and bars.
Cómpeta is known as the pearl of the Axarquía. It is fascinating to explore with its labyrinth of narrow streets that date back to Moorish times and its spectacular views. The town is best known to many for its locally produced wine, available both dry and sweet.
SIGHTSEEING:
The national park with Maroma mountain (highest mountain of Málaga, 2.065 m), Granada, Nerja, the beaches, golf courses, Lake Vinuela, Málaga, Marbella, Frigiliana, Gibraltar/Morocco, Sierra Nevada, Córdoba, Ronda, Seville, and so on.
